Last week, my dad and I spent the day in LA! He had somewhere in the area he had to go so I asked if we could hangout in LA for the day and because I had been wanting to check out this hotel in Silver Lake for awhile! I had seen some of my favorite bloggers stay here and it looked SO beautiful and it really lived up to my expectations. It was tucked away right in the heart of Silver Lake, walking distance to so many great shops and restaurants (that I wish we could have had more time to check out!) The hotel was like an oasis in the city. Gorgeous tile and plants everywhere and a roof top pool with a view of the Hollywood sign. This is not sponsored at all! Haha I truly loved our stay here!

And of course I asked my dad if he could snap a couple of photos for me! The weather was so nice while we were there that I finally got to wear sandals and sunglasses, it’s been awhile since I’ve gotten to do that in Portland! And I was so surprised how well the photos turned out! THANKS DAD LOVE YOU!!

NOTE! For this jumpsuit, I would say it runs pretty small. I got a size large because the medium was too tight of a fit for me! And beware on returns, they only do in store credit and returns back, the customer has to pay for!!

Also a reminder that warmer weather is on it’s way! My go to piece to wear under dresses are definitely bike shorts!

What I’m Wearing: Jumpsuit: Our Second Nature, Sunglasses: Lucy Folk c/o Shopbop (shop more sunglasses here!), Sandals: Need via Need Supply (shop more sandals here!)

Blundstone boots have been a huge staple and go to for me ever since I got my first pair a couple of years ago. Honestly, living in the PNW, they’re a must. OR anywhere you live where it rains or snows, they’re just a great boot to have on hand. I wanted to share a couple of ways that I have styled and worn them through out the past year or two. They pair well with dresses, jeans, pretty tops, literally anything you can think of!

Not pictured: the other countless times I have thrown them on with my favorite puffer jacket and jeans.

The best thing about Blundstone boots is that they’re practical, functional but still look good with so many outfits. They’re great for stomping around no matter what weather and I always pack them when I head to the coast. Honestly, I don’t know what other shoe I would want at the Oregon Coast!

As far as favorites go, there are two styles of Blundstones that I love the most. Starting with the heeled version. What I like about this style is that it has a more feminine feel to it so it goes perfect with dresses or pretty blouses but still has all of the functionality you need. The other style I love is are the classic 500s. These ones I love to throw on when I want to wear my puffer coats or my rain coat. They’re just a good classic boot and I know I can rely on them to get me through the rainy weather!

Let me know what outfit you like the best!

This post was sponsored by Blundstone but all opinions and ideas are my own!

Ok so a couple weeks ago, my mom and I went to my favorite thrift store. Like most places, it can be hit or miss and after looking around a bit…this jacket was the only thing I found. The line to check out was SUPER long and I was contemplating if the jacket was worth waiting in line for. But something told me if I would have left it behind, I would have regretted it. And I was right. I LOVE THIS COAT. I have been wearing it so much lately. I love the mix of styles it gives off. Reminds me of something a french girl in the 60s would wear, or one of the cast members of Friends in the 90s. It’s definitely one of my favorite finds to date.

It’s honestly been so nice getting back into vintage shopping and thrifting again. When I first started my blog, I would go ALL the time but as time went on and I enrolled in college, I had less time to pick through the racks. I’ve been getting more inspired again with vintage clothes and it’s the best feeling. It feels like I found myself again! It’s just nice finding pieces that feel true and authentic to me.

What I am wearing: Coat: Vintage, Tee: Rag & Bone, Necklace: Similar Here!, Jeans: Vintage 501 Levi’s – SHOP Levi’s here, Boots: By Far, Bag: Saks Fifth Avenue (Thrifted), Yin Yang Ring: Wilhelmina Garcia

I am SO excited about this collaboration and to share it with you all! Missoma is a brand I have loved for a couple of years now. I first purchased a necklace from them a couple years ago and haven’t taken it off much since (see in outfit here and here and many more!) I was beyond ecstatic to have the opportunity to share their new collection, The Twisted Collection!! Inspired by the idea that opposites attract and the movement of rope and the bonds between chains. The perfect pieces to have in your collection to embody strength and unity.

I really love this idea on a personal level as well. The idea that we usually have a side of ourselves that we keep hidden or might be too shy/scared to share with others. Growing up, I plaid sports, read Harry Potter and played the trombone in band. All of these things are a part of who I am and shaped me into who I am now but often times I don’t share this side of me. I’m now remembering to embrace all sides of myself because that’s what makes me as a whole! And I love being able to wear pieces that remind me of that.

One of the things I really love about Missoma, is how easy their pieces can be layered! They look beautiful on their own but you can layer up multiple pieces together to create an even bolder look. The necklace I have from a couple of years ago even looks great with the twisted collection.
