Sustainable Gift Ideas with ABLE!

I’ve had a bunch of people this season ask for gift guides and I am happy to finally say I have two coming out in a row! Today’s gift guide is in partnership with ABLE, and amazing brand based in Nashville that is doing so many great things. I know by this post, it looks like they only sell home items, but they actually carry clothing too! They focus on sustainability and also giving women jobs who have struggled with addiction. It’s a great brand to support during the holidays plus they have cute stuff so WIN WIN!

I might be a little biased with the first gift idea because I love candles (and baths!) but both of these are so great! You can buy the candle or bath salts separately or together for a really good gift pairing! The candle scent is beautiful and subtle, not too overwhelming. Both the candle and bath salts are hand made right in Nashville! And once the candle is burnt out, you can use the glass container as a whiskey glass! LOVE THAT!

This second gift idea is one of my personal favorites and it’s the ABLE Mamuye Classic tote! I use mine all the time when I have to lug around my laptop and notebooks. It’s so durable, the quality is amazing and I love how it’s looking with wear. This would be a great gift for a college student or a friend/family member who brings their laptop to work! There are a bunch of other color options as well and it’s currently on sale! Or if you’re looking to get someone a purse or bag for the holidays, ABLE has so many other beautiful options too!

One last idea too! ABLE carries really beautiful home products around the holidays every year but once they’re gone, you have to wait until the next holiday season! The marble Savannah serving board looks stunning and would be great for that friend or relative that loves cooking or hosting at their home! And the Nicole Pom blanket looks so cozy and I can just imagine cozying up with it with a cup of coffee!

So that’s it! Check out the ABLE website and let me know what pieces catch your eye! And happy shopping! AND USE MY CODE “TONYA25” FOR 25% OFF YOUR PURCHASE THROUGH THE WEEKEND!

Chunky Winter Boots

If there’s one thing you need for fall winter, it’s a good pair of chunky boots! Check out this outfit here for more inspiration!

You know when you put an outfit together and it just clicks?! And then you can’t stop wearing it?? This has been that outfit for me. I recently got these trousers and have been wearing them with anything I could (see another outfit here) and I remembered this blazer that I had. I wasn’t sure it they would work together since they’re different brands but they literally look like they’re a set!! I feel like a badass boss woman when I where this outfit. Especially when paired with these Dr. Martens. Then the Staud bag makes the look a little more fashion forward and I feel like really pulls the look together.

My favorite trend for fall/winter right now are chunky boots. I can’t get enough of them and the effortlessly cool way they make an outfit look. The Prada Beatle Boots have been on my list since the minute I saw them but since they’re sold out, I had to settle for something similar. And I don’t think I am settling with these. They’ve been pairing really well with my puffer coats on colder days too so I can’t say how much you should have yourself a good pair of chunky boots this winter!

SHOPBOP SALE!

It’s that time again, my favorite time of the year! Shopbop’s sale is currently going on and I am SO excited about it! Perfect timing right before the holidays to get some of that Christmas and holiday gift shopping out of the way!

I know I usually do a round up of pieces that are my favorite for the sale, but I thought I would do something a little different and share my favorite categories, because honestly, it was tough picking just a couple of things! So here are the pieces/categories I would recommend checking out during Shopbop’s sale!

  1. Boots! This is a no brainer but in particular there are some hiking style boots I really have my eye on. Simon Miller and Proenza Schouler have some really cool ones right now!
  2. Puffer Jackets: I am a SUCKER for cool coats this time of the year, obviously it’s cold so I want to stay warm but I also want to still look cute while I am trying to not freeze! lol Puffer jackets have been a go to of mine for a couple of years and I still can’t get enough of them!
  3. DENIM: You can never have enough good pairs of jeans. The fits are always so different and work for different occasions so this is the perfect time to get a couple of pairs!

The Perfect Dress for The Holidays!

I’ve had the worst luck lately when it comes to dresses. I just haven’t been really loving anything I’ve seen online until I saw this silky beauty! I first saw this dress a couple months ago when I thought I would be going to LA for a holiday dinner event but then had family plans come up. But I couldn’t stop thinking about this dress! I finally ordered it last week after deciding to plan a holiday outfit blog post and I am SO glad I finally bought it! I know the images here make it look like it’s a gold/yellow color but it’s more of a green color in person. It’s so soft and feels so expensive.

The best thing about this dress is all of the things you can wear it to! It would be great for thanksgiving, if you dress up for that sort of thing (I’m usually in my comfiest outfit so that I can eat my body weights worth of food for the day lol) but it would be so perfect for any sort of holiday party or event you have coming up. OR if you need a NYE dress, this is perfect! Especially since most of us dress up for NYE, short dresses are always SO cold, a maxi is ideal. Then this dress would easily be great for spring as well. Honestly, if this dress needed a spokesperson, I would do that job. Lol I just haven’t been this excited about a dress in awhile and I was so excited to share it with all of you. It really is the perfect holiday dress!

Holiday makeup musts: Boybrow, Balm Dot Com

Styling an Oversized Blazer

Oversized blazers have been everywhere lately! They can be a little tricky to style especially with how they can swallow someone’s figure and can be hard to look flattering. They might be a pass for some people but I have actually loved wearing oversized blazers this season. I found this particular one a couple months ago while thrifting and it reminded me of my dad. He would always wear a blazer and slacks to work so it’s kind of a cool piece to have reminding me of him!

If you’re having a hard time making the oversized fit look flattering, you can always add a belt! Just a simple belt around the waist line can give the blazer a more feminine shape and not feel so overwhelming. Another thing I like to do to make it less masculine is obviously pairing it with more feminine pieces. Heels or a cute bootie is a great way to tone down the masculine feel and give it a effortless boss women spin.

How are you styling oversized blazers this year? Are you into the trend or not so much?

What I am wearing: Blazer: Vintage (shop blazers here!), Tank: AMO c/o Verishop, Jeans: Acne Studios, Chain Necklace: Maslo, Pendant Necklace: Missoma London, Boots: By Far (color way sold out, same style here), Bag: Staud
