This is one of those outfits that is one of my go to, staples when I don’t know what to wear. You really can’t go wrong with a monochrome summer outfit and all white just makes it fresh and effortless I think! I’ve honestly had a hard time adjusting to the heat here in Texas especially coming from the Northwest. So there have been days where I really don’t know what to wear and I feel like I don’t have enough summer outfits lol

These pants were kind of an on the fly purchase. I’ve been eyeing pieces from Deiji Studios for awhile but couldn’t decide what pieces to order. When I saw these pants on Net-A-Porter, I decided to try them out! They’re such a good spring/summer pant. They’re really light weight (slightly see through though…) and ideal for the heat. I’m slowly growing my Texas wardrobe and these were one of my best purchases for it! Also, for some reason, I have a hard time finding a good basic tee. I just feel like I will get a tee and it’s either too fitted or not fitted enough, or the fabric is too flimsy. But I love this one! It’s a bit more fitted which is ideal to wear with my more loose pants. Plus, it’s only $15!

Here’s a link to this airbnb I stayed at in Marfa! I wish I would have had more time there. But my car had broke down so I got there a bit later than I expected and only stayed one night!

What I’m Wearing: Tee: Uniqlo (I’m wearing a size medium), Pants: Deiji Studios via Net-a-Porter, Bag: Thrifted, Shoes: LOQ

I’ve been teasing this Modern Airbnb in Marfa for awhile and am excited to finally share the details! I recently went on a solo road trip and decided to kind of “airbnb hop”, so I stayed at three different places during my week there. You may remember seeing a bit of this Airbnb in Marfa in this post here and in this post as well. One thing that I realized during this trip is how different all of the places were! Each one had its pros and cons but this one honestly had SO many pros. An airbnb I had stayed at before was really hot but this one had such great AC. It was so nice and comfortable! Plus…the wifi was amazing! lol Just little things that I feel like make the stay that much better. Especially since I was still working from my computer while I was there!

Make sure to check out my previous posts for outfit details as well and more photos of this beautiful place! I’m also currently working on a vlog from this trip! I’m hoping that will be up on my youtube page in the next few weeks….stay tuned! 🙂

I’ve started to really find my style more in my 30s and realized what makes an outfit feel like “me”. I’ve always loved mixing prints, even back in high school when I first started my blog. Honestly, I think a big part of my love for mixing prints comes from Alexa Chung. Seeing her pair polka dots and animal prints, stripes with florals through the years has really had an influence on my style. And I’ve realized that when I wear more basic pieces, mixing prints is an easy way to make an outfit more interesting!

Ballet flats and mary janes are definitely trending and having a bit of a moment lately. But for some reason, I have always have a hard time finding ones that I love! They’re either not comfortable at all or I feel like they make my feel look HUGE! (I wear a women’s 10) I am very happy to say that I absolutely love these ones!! They didn’t give me any blisters at all when I first wore them and they are just so comfortable. Silver pieces are also having a bit of a moment and they’re another easy way to make an outfit more interesting. I think the little buckle/strap on these makes them a bit more edgy too. If you’re searching for a good pair of mary janes or ballet flats, I highly recommend these ones!

Oh, details on this beautiful airbnb coming soon!! It was one of my favorites in Marfa so far!

I feel like everyone has a few clothing items that are always a go to and pieces that you’re drawn too. For some reason, I always gravitate towards two piece sets. I loved this one from a few summers ago and this one for fall! When I first saw this striped two piece set, I instantly fell in love with it. The stripes are so fun for summer and I love the pop of color it adds. One of the reasons I think I love a two piece set so much is because they’re so versatile. It’s almost like having 3 outfits in one since you have wear each piece separately or together. Pairing a boxer short set always looks classic with a baby tee!

Also, this was one of the places I stayed at when I was in Marfa. I will be sharing more photos and details on it soon but this is just a sneak peek of the kitchen. It was SO serene. I wouldn’t mind it this was my kitchen! It was the perfect place to stay for a couple of days and wake up, make coffee and relax in this striped two piece set. And who doesn’t love an outfit that can be worn as pajamas too lol

I am so excited to share this little series with you! I’ve been planning this trip for about a month now and wanted to share a variety of airbnbs in Marfa to stay at. This was my 4th time going to Marfa and it’s one of my favorite places to visit in Texas. There are so many incredible Airbnbs in Marfa, like this one I stayed in last year

And for the series, we’re starting it off strong with the most beautiful and serene airbnb in Marfa! I’m always a sucker for wood panelling and this place was even better in person. The large windows made it the ideal place to wake up to the sunrise at and to drink a glass of wine at sunset. I caught the most beautiful sunset the first night that I was in town. The colors were so intense and stunning, I’m not going to lie…I got teary eyed!

Serene Airbnb in Marfa

I want to be as honest as possible about each airbnb! One thing, this airbnb only has a mini split for AC so make sure to bring a personal fan if you can (if you plan on staying during the warmer months). I ended up picking one up for only $16 across the street at Dollar General. But it was a little warm in there without it! Other than that, this place was absolutely beautiful and a perfect place to unwind. I loved that it was tucked away in an area that just had an open field in the back. Like I said, the perfect place to watch a West Texas Sunset!

I don’t think I will ever get how beautiful this sunset was! West Texas sunsets just don’t compare.
