Outfit Details: Leather Jacket: Thrifted (Eddie Bauer), Pants: Thrifted, Purse: Commission NYC via Nordstrom, Tank: My favorite one! (I wear a medium), Necklace and Earrings: Claude Jewelers on Etsy, Shoes: Labucq

I felt like I needed to share this outfit before it gets too hot! It’s already starting to warm up in Texas but this outfit has been a favorite, repeat look of mine this Spring. You can’t go wrong with a great leather jacket paired with striped pants or trousers, both of which I thrifted! This style of leather jacket is such a cool alternative than the biker jackets that are seen so much. I just love the boxy look of it!

I feel like leather jackets and trousers are two things you can always find when thrifting. I always make sure to check the mens section too, you never know what you might find! You can always get pants tailored and still end up spending less than if you were to buy a new pair. But if you haven’t had much luck at your local thrift, I have some similar styles linked below!

Cowboy boots are having a moment lately!! I’m honestly all about this trend, partially because I live in Texas but also because they can be styled with literally EVERYTHING! Here’s another outfit I wore them with a couple of years ago, I still wear this outfit so much! I realized after I did this video sharing outfits with cowboy boots, that I need to share some more options with dresses and skirts too. But I end up pairing them a lot with trousers and jeans.

If you’re on the hunt for a pair of cowboy boots, I’ve had really good luck on Etsy and Ebay! I prefer the vintage styles but if you want a new pair then a good option, of course, is Boot Barn. There’s also usually quite a few pairs on FB Marketplace that seem to be more reasonably priced! I have about 7 or 8 pairs but I tend to always wear the same Tony Llama ones. They’re just a classic, vintage style cowboy boot that I feel like fits my style so well. I’m heading back to Marfa in a couple of weeks and I already know I will be packing my cowboy boots to style with some outfits there! 🙂

I GOT MARRIED!!!

I am so happy to finally share this with you all! We got married last year, on December 9th, in Austin, TX and the day was even better than I could have ever imagined. After searching online for a few different chapels and wedding locations, I stumbled upon this beautiful chapel. Italy would be a dream location to get married but of course it just wasn’t in the budget lol. Chapel Dulcinea was a close second!

I look forward to sharing more from this special day! I’ve been sharing a bit on my Instagram as well 🙂

I’ve been in a bit of a style rut for awhile now but wanted to start sharing my outfits more regularly again. So about a week or two ago, I decided to start a spring outfit series over on my instagram! Going through my closet and just trying on different outfits has been SO helpful in getting inspired again and out of my style rut. So here is the first look of my spring style series, a suede mini dress and loafers! The funny thing about this suede mini dress is that it’s actually a jacket! I thrifted it a couple of years ago but I never really wore it that much. I always felt that it was a bit of an awkward length on me but then I decided to try it on as a dress! It looks very 60s/mod to me and I’m sooo happy that I ended up keeping it!

A combo I’ve been loving for fall and now spring is loafers and socks! I think it’s such a great way to add a cool twist on feminine pieces. I know this jacket was thrifted but there are a lot of similar styles online, this dress is SO cute! Also, if you search “suede jacket womens” on Etsy, a bunch come up too!

I’m hoping this series will get me out of my style funk! It’s already been helping a lot and I think remembering why I started my blog over 10 years ago, helps a lot as well. I used to spend hours just basically playing dress up, trying on outfits, getting inspired. And for the first time in awhile, I felt that inspiration again.

What I’m wearing: Suede Mini Dress/Jacket – Thrifted, Purse – Thrifted, Loafers – G.H. Bass, Socks – COS, Earrings – Etsy

Simple Bedside Update

In May, it will have be two years since I bought my first house! Time has flown by and we have done a lot of projects and small updates but there is still a lot of work to be done. This bedside update was one I did last year but I realized I never shared it here! There are still a few updates I need to do in here (including getting new curtains) but I felt like this was such a simple and beautiful bedside update.

Jute rugs are always my go to when I need a rug but don’t want to spend a fortune. In comparison to other rugs, they’re a little less expensive but they still look great! They go really well with a lot of different furniture styles and I feel like it gives a serene look to our bedroom. These cherry blossom branches, I found at a local flower shop and I felt like they would be ideal in this vase! I really love how this all came together. Now I need to see if I can find some different curtains…what do you think I should get?
