To me, September finally marks us getting closer to the colder months which means coat and sweater season! A staple for me for during the cooler months has been a trench coat. I feel like it’s the perfect classic piece and also the ideal transitional piece for summer to fall. It also just has such a nostalgic feel to me as well. And I think they pair so well with creams and white! I also styled a trench in a bit more of a modern, classic way last year here!

Also, I recently bought these glasses and I love how they look with my outfits! They’re blue light glasses and I’ve been trying to wear them more often since I’m always on my phone or computer. I love that they’re not only good for my eyes but I think they look cute with my outfits! So expect to see them more :’)

Anyways, that’s it for now! I’m in Arizona visiting family and am very pooped from traveling lol

I first bought this pair of boxer shorts a couple of years ago and I ended up wearing them so much, I bought a second pair! With the heat in Texas, I’ve been needing to find options that can get me through the weather. So I figured I would share a post styling boxer shorts! You might remember me sharing this outfit with the same shorts here. I really love that they’re a good option to wear in the summer but can easily be styled for fall. It seems like fall is awhile away from us in Texas, but a girl can dream!

I’ve got a couple of busy months ahead! Next month, I am going to visit my dad in Arizona and will be stopping by Palm Springs for a couple of days. Then in November, my husband and I will be driving to watch my little brother play football at his college in Iowa. We then will be driving to Chicago for a couple of days! I’ve never been to Chicago and have always wanted to visit, so I am really looking forward to this!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post on how I’ve been styling boxer shorts, let me know what outfit you like best!

As much as I don’t want to admit it, I feel like fall is still aways away for us here in Texas. But that won’t keep me from sharing a few summer to fall outfits! Finding pieces that can be worn multiple ways or into every season is always a big deciding factor for me when adding new pieces to my wardrobe. Items like sandals, woven bags, and sweaters are all pieces that I like to wear from summer to fall. I am really ready for the weather to cool down so that I can wear sweaters again! My makeup was definitely melting off my face when taking these photos lol

Also, I know it is very hot for most of us but I am really loving this butter yellow sweater! I have a feeling it’s going to be on repeat for me this year as well as this one! I really just love fall outfits so much!

I’m going to be honest, ever since I moved to Texas two years ago, I’ve had a hard time adjusting to the heat and finding pieces that suit the weather. I grew up in the Northwest and lived there my entire life until recently so most of my clothes is geared towards the weather up there. Lately, my summer uniform has been this: boxer shorts and a tee. It’s lightweight and comfortable, the way a summer uniform or outfit should be.

Trends, to me, are usually hit or miss but I’ve been LOVING the boxer short trend. They really are so great for summer. I love that you can dress them casually or even dress them up a bit too. They’re easy to style into early fall as well with blazers, coats and sweaters, like this outfit here! I’ve had this particular pair for two years or so now and I wear them so much that I bought another pair. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a good pair! (I got a size medium)

The rest of the summer for me is mostly going to be spent at home! I do plan on traveling to Arizona in a month or so to visit my dad, just waiting for it to cool down a little lol

Five Beautiful Places to Stay in Marfa, Texas

BM9A1667

Back in 2020, I went on a road trip with my family and visited Texas for the first time. Marfa has been on my list for awhile so finally being able to visit was really memorable. It was one of the first places I visited in Texas and I instantly fell in love with it. If you’ve never been, it’s basically in the middle of nowhere and quite the treck to get to. But that’s part of the appeal, it really feels like a serene desert oasis. Since that trip, I moved to Texas and have been to Marfa a handful of times. So I thought it would be helpful to share some of the places I’ve stayed!

So here are five beautiful places to stay in Marfa, Texas!

Highland Abode

This was the first airbnb I stayed at in Marfa (the first time I visited, I stayed at the Thunderbird hotel). I was blown away when I arrived here. It’s so beautifully decorated and felt like I was staying in an art museum. The location is also ideal if you like to walk, it’s close to town which I loved being able to walk to grab coffee in the morning or a cocktail at night. Also, the bathtub was SO nice to unwind in at the end of the day.

Casa 415

I wish I would have had more time of this airbnb. On my recent trip to Marfa, my car broke down unexpectedly and I ended up having to rent a car. It added a lot of time to my trip and so I didn’t get as much time there as anticipated. The photos of this beautiful home don’t do it justice. It’s so airy and light filled. Also, it’s another one that is close to town so another great one if you want to walk into town!

The Light Box

We’ve all seen “tiny homes” that have been converted into airbnb’s. I’m pretty sure this one is made out of two shipping containers but it felt SO cozy and modern. The wood panelling was one of my favorite features of this airbnb as well as the serene field it’s tucked in front of. The light in the morning and at sunset was so serene and peaceful and the sunset I saw the first night I stayed here literally brought me to tears. One thing to note though…it did get a bit too hot in there so something to keep in mind! (I ended up buying a fan to have by my bed)

Artist Loft

This is the place we stayed at when we went to Marfa for our engagement photos in Big Bend National park. This place was super peaceful and I loved the big porch that it had. My husband and I ended up playing cards outside on the porch one of the nights and it was so special. If you’re looking for something more affordable but still serene, I highly recommend this place!

Suite A Studio: The Living Studio

This is a place I have a feeling I will be booking again. I feel like it’s reasonably priced and very well curated. Plus the wifi and AC worked VERY well which were two big necessities for my last trip. It also has a pool! I didn’t end up using it last time but I feel like that’s something to note since it’s the only one of my recommendations on here that does.

Well there you have it! Those are five beautiful places to stay in Marfa, Texas! Which one would you stay at first? You can see a bit more of a few of them in my latest Youtube video as well as some photos over on my Instagram!

I hope this was helpful and I am already planning my next trip back 🙂
