The weather is starting to warm up a bit and my go to spring outfit is back lol I’m starting to feel like a broken record at this point but when something isn’t broke…don’t fix it! And that’s how I feel about the ideal spring outfit: a trench coat and loafers. I love how many different ways a trench an be styled or act as a hero piece. This trench coat, in particular, is a bit more structured so I feel like I tend to make it the main part of my outfit when I wear it.

Loafers have been a go to for me for spring outfits for awhile now but I’ve noticed boat shoes popping up a lot this year! These loafers/boat shoes have been on repeat for me this year already. They’re definitely my favorite purchase so far this year. I’m really trying to lean into buying pieces that I can wear multiple ways and these are exactly that. I first purchased these Dr. Martens (which I absolutely love) but I was having a hard time with the sizing. So I ended up returning them and getting these instead and I am SO happy that I did. They also come in suede and I am contemplating getting them as well but I really don’t think I need two pairs… lol

What I’m wearing: Coat: Mango (old season, sold out), Trousers: Aritizia, Glasses: Eye Buy Direct, Loafers: Sezane, Purse: Le Tanneur

Something I’ve learned since buying a house 3 years ago, is that it takes time to decorate. Whether you have a house or an apartment, it takes time to find the pieces that you love to make your place feel like a home. And over time, it starts to come together. I recently got this lamp from Sezane and it really was the perfect piece to complete my bedroom dresser decor. The way that it compliments the wood accents of my home, it was really worth the wait!

This dresser was actually a facebook marketplace find, I think two years ago? Our house is over 100 years old, so it has very limited storage space. It was more of a practical purchase but I wanted to lean into the vintage feel of our home! I always love how perfumes and candles act as pieces of decoration as well.

Here’s a link to the lamp again!

Happy January and 2025! I really hope that you all had a good holiday season and start to the new year! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here and I ended up not sharing anything for the month of December. We actually had my husbands’ family in town for Christmas so things were very busy spending time with them as well as having my little brother in town for Thanksgiving. But I am happy to be back posting on here again and plan to do so more regularly 🙂

One thing I’ve done a bit different this year already, is have a slower approach to the new year. In the past, I’ve often put a lot of pressure on myself to start strong and hit the ground running with my resolutions. But this year, I’ve taken the first week of January to rest and recharge. I’ve spent more time at home reading books, drinking tea, listening to records and ease into the new year.

I recently replaced my old record player and I am so happy with my new one! When I first got my set up, I tried to make this receiver work with vintage speakers but I couldn’t get it to work. That’s when I decided to go with a bluetooth record player and speakers. It’s SO much easier to set up and the sound quality is great with the Marshall speaker!

As I mentioned, I am taking a bit of a slower approach to the new year which also means I’ve been gravitating towards comfortable and cozy pieces. This yellow two piece set is so cozy (use my code THEMOPTOP20 for 20% off!) and I’m looking forward to styling these shorts for the summer too! And if you’re on the hunt for a good pair of cozy socks, I highly recommend this pair!

Not sure if anyone reads my blog anymore but I always miss posting and sharing updates so I am happy to be back and continue to share more on here this year 🙂

What I’m wearing: Yellow Set: The Knotty Ones (THEMOPTOP20 for 20% off!), Socks: Le Bonne Shoppe

Record Player Set Up: Speaker: Marshall Stanmore III, Record Player: Audio Technica, Media Stand: Vintage (similar style here)

I can’t believe it’s been since September since I last posted! We just got back from a two week road trip so things we’re a little hectic for awhile. But I’m back and excited to share this vintage inspired mohair cardigan. It was one of those pieces that I just kinda glanced by when I first saw it online but I am so glad I got it! I love all of the little details and how it looks like it could be either handmade or vintage. It’s definitely going to end up being one of those pieces that I will love for years.

I’ve also really been inspired by classic styles lately. Loafers and these glasses have become staples that I feel like end up completing my look. Ok just a quick post because my little brother is visiting for Thanksgiving..I just wanted to get this outfit up! 🙂

What I’m Wearing: Mohair Cardigan: Sezane, Pants: Aritzia, Glasses: Eye Buy Direct, Bag: Le Tanneur, Loafers: G.H. Bass, Socks: Le Bonne

To me, September finally marks us getting closer to the colder months which means coat and sweater season! A staple for me for during the cooler months has been a trench coat. I feel like it’s the perfect classic piece and also the ideal transitional piece for summer to fall. It also just has such a nostalgic feel to me as well. And I think they pair so well with creams and white! I also styled a trench in a bit more of a modern, classic way last year here!

Also, I recently bought these glasses and I love how they look with my outfits! They’re blue light glasses and I’ve been trying to wear them more often since I’m always on my phone or computer. I love that they’re not only good for my eyes but I think they look cute with my outfits! So expect to see them more :’)

Anyways, that’s it for now! I’m in Arizona visiting family and am very pooped from traveling lol
