Getting Cozy with Urban Outfitters

6L0A22346L0A22536L0A22386L0A22846L0A22446L0A2290Not only do I love expressing my personal style through clothes, but I absolutely love coming home to a place that is welcoming and inspiring as well. That’s why I decided to redecorate our place so that it reflects my personal style and it’s a place I want to come and relax. I think when you have your own personal space that you out together the way you like, then you tend to get more creative in other aspects of your life as well!
Urban Outfitters is always one of my go-to places with so many things especially when it comes to home decor. I’m usually drawn to more minimal and neutral color palettes but with interesting textures.
What do you guys think of my new room arrangement? I also just made this wall hanging after seeing this DIY! It was so much fun!

Best Basics for Any Wardrobe

6L0A21096L0A20576L0A20856L0A20636L0A20906L0A2119 Basics really are a necessity for anyone and everyone’s wardrobe. They’re perfect to build outfits off of and also great to throw on when you don’t have time to really think about what to wear. For me, the best basics include: a great pair of sneakers, a well fitted white tee, and some comfy black soft pants. These can be mixed and matched into so many different outfits and also pair well together.
I’ve had my eye on this top for a couple of weeks now and finally treated myself to it! I really believe in splurging here and there on items that you know you will get a lot of wear out of. It’s easier on your closet and better for the environment. (HINT: if you get this tee, make sure to size up! It runs small!)
Alright, well I hope you guys enjoyed this post and my tips on best basics. NOW BACK TO HOMEWORK! ahhh.

The Best Minimal Rings

6L0A20306L0A2020 It’s pretty obvious that I don’t wear nearly as much jewelry as I should. I don’t know if it’s the natural tomboy in me that just tends to steer away from too much of it, but it’s definitely something I want to wear more of! It’s really nice to have pieces like these beautiful twist rings from Mejuri to add on to my outfit without much thought. They add the perfect amount of something to my looks! Not only do they fit perfectly with so many looks but they’re also handcrafted, 14k gold and ethically made. That’s something I can really stand behind!

My Fall Staple

No matter how bad I don’t want “rainy season” to arrive in Portland, it’s well on it’s way. This means months of rainy days which sometimes makes it really difficult to decide what to wear in the mornings. Luckily, I was recently introduced to Native Shoes and their new Hydro Collection. Their shoes are Weatherproof as well as light and completely vegan. Perfect for Portland! And basically anywhere you don’t want to worry about the weather too much.
My other staple for fall right now continues to be bomber jackets. Though I haven’t featured them in many outfit posts here, I wear them SO much. They’re perfect to throw on with denim and sneakers (like this look) when I want to cute, quick look for class. And honestly, with how busy school keeps me…I don’t want to spend too much extra time deciding what to wear.

Portland Tiny House with Whimsy & Row

6L0A18406L0A18176L0A18236L0A18526L0A18826L0A19426L0A18866L0A18646L0A1862 6L0A19396L0A19256L0A19196L0A18086L0A1930 This past weekend I was lucky enough to be able to stay in the cutest little tiny house in Portland! Even though I live here, sometimes it’s just nice to get away for a little “staycation”. When you’re in a different part of your city, it kind of feels like you really took a vacation. The thing I really loved about the Portland Tiny House was the decor. It was sooo cute inside and if they would let me…I would move in! haha
I also teamed up with Whimsy + Row to showcase some of my favorite pieces in their shop that are perfect for so many things. The Portland Tiny House was the perfect backdrop for it all! For the mornings, Whimsy + Row has the best coffee mugs and socks to lounge in. I love the knitted sweater for lazy mornings as well! There are pieces perfect for just hanging out at home, especially when you have things to do. And then there are some really special things like the pink wrap dress…ideal for a night out!
Make sure if you’re in Portland to check out the Tiny House if you want a cool little place to stay!
