It’s starting to heat up a bit! Which means a lot of our winter and fall clothes are put away. But there’s one thing I will be bringing into my summer outfits and that’s blazers! I’ve been seeing more outfits pairing blazers with bralettes and I am loving it! This jacquemus outfit here is one of my favorites and a huge inspiration for this outfit.
It’s a great way to make masculine blazers look more feminine and also more weather appropriate for warm summer nights. This look would also pair great with a pair of strappy heels or sandals but I thought Birkenstocks would be a good simple and comfortable shoe for this look.
ALSO I AM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY START BLOGGING AGAIN! I haven’t posted a blog since March when everything basically went into lock down. I finally bought a remote for my iphone camera so that I can take more outfit photos at home myself. I can’t wait to share on here again!
I’ve always thought that off the shoulder styles weren’t for me. We’re all pretty harsh and critical of ourselves so I think it was just one of those styles I never thought I could “pull off”. When The Outnet reached out to collaborate with me, I was so excited about this dress. It was time to finally try an off the shoulder piece. And guess what… I LOVE IT! The style is so simplistic but dramatic at the same time! The dramatic sleeve is such a cool way to offset the no shoulder too.
This dress would be great for summer date nights or any special occasion, besides a wedding probably. You don’t want to wear white obviously 😉 you might get kicked out for that…lol
Has anyone else been noticing the hair scarves making a comeback too?! One of my favorite gals to follow on Instagram, Maria Bernad (@maria_bernad), is making a strong case for them! The vintage look of them is something I can’t help but love too. I feel like I should be in Italy in the 60s, driving down the coast in a little car with cat eye sunglasses with I wear my hair like this.
Anyways, thank you Outnet for sending this look so that I could share it with all of you! And to share more about them! Their site is seriously so great. They have a bunch of great designer brands at a discounted price!! There really is something special about owning a designer piece but let’s be honest, they can be way out of budget (especially if you’re paying off your student loans like me!). The Outnet has brands like Chloe, Acne Studios, Stella McCartney, all at discounted prices since fashion moves so quickly! The best way to invest in some incredible brands and pieces.
SIDE NOTE: THESE SHOES ARE ACTUALLY VERY COMFORTABLE AND THEY’RE CUTE! I’ve been having the worst luck with shoes that are cute and also comfortable. I recently got a pair that are so cute but they hurt my feet like hell. THESE ARE ACTUALLY COMFY!! Just make sure you get your correct size!
The weather is warming up so that means it’s finally time to whip out those dresses! The thing I love most about dresses during the summer time is that they can be worn so many different ways. For me, I loveeee being able to wear dresses with sneakers because it’s a great way to stay comfortable and be able to walk around while still looking cute and cool for the summer weather.
This dress from the Alyssa x Petite Studio collection caught my eye the first time I saw it! Every little detail is so well thought out and interesting. The oversized puff sleeves, the buttons and the cut out back, this dress really is the perfect summer dress.
I wanted to share two ways of how I would wear it too. Comfort is so important to me and my personal style so my first reaction is to pair this dress with sneakers. These Adidas Yung-1’s are great too because they’re simple enough to pair with a variety of colors and prints. Converse would also work really well with this dress too. But if you’re planning a night out or want to go for a more feminine look, the strappy heels are the way to go. I found this particular pair while thrifting in Reno last year for $3!!! I love when vintage styles come back so that you can recreate a trendy look for way less.
Anyways, that’s all I have today! Let me know which look you like better!!
Outfit one details: Jacket: Harly Jae, Top: Vintage/thrifted, Pants: & Other Stories (sold out in white, shop blue here), Sandals: LOQ, Basket Bag: Doen (sold out, similar here)
Well here they are, 8 ways to wear Spring/Summer’s “It” color….green! This chartreuse, limey green color has been everywhere lately and and I am all here for it! The 90s and 00s are back and this color was all over the place then and again now. Green has been my favorite color ever since I was a kid but it hasn’t been a go to color of mine when it comes to outfits, until lately!
If you haven’t checked out my youtube video yet, make sure to do that. It’s another great way to really see the outfits and how they fit. AND MAKE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE!!!
