It’s that time of the year for me that can be hard to figure out what the hell to wear! I have been focusing more on my fitness and health lately so I feel like my current outfits consist of a lot of leggings, sports bras and oversized tees. When I finally muster up some effort to put on an actual outfit, comfort has been my main focus. Pairing sneakers with any look this time of year is an easy way to stay comfortable while also making it look like you put some effort into your outfit. I will always be drawn to more tomboy looks, as I was a huge tomboy growing up, so wearing trousers and a tee has been a bit of an homage to younger me. These trousers are actually vintage Levi’s and an item that will be for sale in my upcoming vintage store relaunch!
In case you didn’t know, I used to sell vintage a few years back. Then when I enrolled in college, I had to put it on pause. Well I am finally at a place that I want to start it up again and I couldn’t ben more excited about it. Thank you so much to those of you who have shown so much interest already! It means so much to me! Stay tuned for more details and official the official launch date 🙂

If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know that this blazer was one of my recent thrift/vintage finds I got while in Reno over Thanksgiving! I’m a little surprised that it fits because I ended up buying it without trying it on. But I guess it was just meant to be because it fit like a glove! No tailoring necessary! The thrifting is Reno is WAY better than I could have imagined. I ended up finding a few bags, a belt, this suit, a few button up tops and a really awesome pair of pants. Plus, we ended up going on Black Friday and one of the thrift stores was doing a half off sale! The trip ignited my love for vintage and thrifting again. I took a long break from it because of school and just feeling like I had no extra time for it. But it’s something I want to make more time for again and possibly start up my vintage shop again!

Anyways, I wanted to share this post in hopes of inspiring you to pair your vintage and thrift finds with modern pieces. There’s nothing I love more than pairing the two together! Would you have guessed I got this suit at a thrift shop if I hadn’t told you?! That’s what I love about pairing those pieces with modern pieces I have already in my closet.

I’m looking forward to sharing more of my finds! Let me know if you have had any luck thrifting lately! What’s been your best recent find?

I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I last put a blog post up! This time of year is always SO busy and I was out of town in Reno for Thanksgiving and really just took that week off from creating content to spend time with family and be in the moment. Let me tell you…it was much needed! But I feel like my mind is still slightly in “vacation” mode. I took this week to relax just a little more and get ready to create more content once the weather cooperates again. This time of the year is super rainy in Portland so it can make it difficult to shoot new posts. This week though, my friend Chantel came over and shot some film photos again in my place! I recently bought this chair as an early Christmas gift to myself and I had been wanting to shoot some photos with it! Didn’t they turn out dreamy?!

I’ve been pushing myself to do different types of shots and content. Film has always been so interesting to me so it’s been nice to create more film content. When I went to community college, I took a film photography class and that’s what really sparked my interest. From there on, I would occasionally take film photos and then just kind of stopped. So it really is great to get back into it again, even if I’m not behind the camera. Leo and I have another fun trip to the desert planned next year and I am planning on finding a great film camera for it too!

Thanks again to Chantel for the photos! If you’re interested, she sells film cameras here too!

How to Wear White Jeans in Winter

White jeans: a spring and summer staple. But so many end up putting them away once September hits (the labor day rule is OUTDATED right?!) I am here to show you a way that you can wear those white jeans you love in the winter! White denim probably isn’t the best on a rainy or winter day, but check your weather and plan them on a nice sunny fall or winter day. Pairing white denim with boots and a blazer or jacket is such an easy way to wear white this time of year.

Also, did you notice anything extra special about these photos?! They’re all shot on film! My friend Chantel has an online film shop where she sells film cameras. Since she has to test them all out first, she let me be her guinea pig and take some shots with the cameras. Film is always just so special to me. I love how it’s unforgiving, it’s real. I am hoping to incorporate more film shots on here as well as my instagram. It really is near and dear to my heart and I always love the outcome.

Alright, I am keeping this short because I am headed to Reno tomorrow and I have SO much on my to do list still. The days seemed to fly by this week. But I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my family and eat ALL THE FOOD!!
