Painted Hills, Oregon

Last week, I went to Bend, OR with a couple of friends to check out Smith Rock and the Painted hills and explore the city. It was the first time I had actually been around Bend and I LOVED it. The weather was so nice, there were a lot of cool shops and restaurants to check out and overall it was just a good time.

We snapped a few photos while at the Painted Hills as well. It was a little windy but so beautiful. The colors on the hill really do look like a painting and I just found myself staring at it.

This dress is a new piece from Eye to Eye, a brand I actually have my eye on and can’t get enough of lately. I love their minimal, 90s style designs.Just a caution though, if you do have a bit of a butt, this dress will be a little tight around the hips. It’s a little tight on me in that area but other than that, I really love this dress.

The Perfect Summer Dress Styled Two Ways

The weather is warming up so that means it’s finally time to whip out those dresses! The thing I love most about dresses during the summer time is that they can be worn so many different ways. For me, I loveeee being able to wear dresses with sneakers because it’s a great way to stay comfortable and be able to walk around while still looking cute and cool for the summer weather.

This dress from the Alyssa x Petite Studio collection caught my eye the first time I saw it! Every little detail is so well thought out and interesting. The oversized puff sleeves, the buttons and the cut out back, this dress really is the perfect summer dress.

I wanted to share two ways of how I would wear it too. Comfort is so important to me and my personal style so my first reaction is to pair this dress with sneakers. These Adidas Yung-1’s are great too because they’re simple enough to pair with a variety of colors and prints. Converse would also work really well with this dress too.
But if you’re planning a night out or want to go for a more feminine look, the strappy heels are the way to go. I found this particular pair while thrifting in Reno last year for $3!!! I love when vintage styles come back so that you can recreate a trendy look for way less.

Anyways, that’s all I have today! Let me know which look you like better!!

What I wore: Dress: Alyssa x Petite Studio, Sneakers: Adidas Yung-1, Bag: Vintage (shop shoulder bags here), Heels: Vintage (Similar here or shop low strappy heels here)

I love those pieces that can easily be worn from season to season. Blazers are definitely the perfect piece to wear from Winter into Spring. Another easy versatile item to dress up with heels or dress down with a pair of sneakers.
To make them cooler and lighter for spring, I like wearing them with casual tees and sandals or slip ons. For this look, I wanted to dress up the simple white tee so I wore one of my nicer slip on mules. But I think this look would look great with a pair of sneakers also to give that real casual, laid back and effortless look. OR to really dress it up, I think a pair of strappy heels would look SOO GOOD too.

Are you guys sick of seeing this basket bag yet?! Haha I’ve been wearing it with pretty much everything ever since I got it two years ago. It’s starting to show some wear but I love how it looks with so many different outfits. And it is the perfect accessory for a vacation in California.

Alrightyyyy I am going to from here on out make a serious effort to put out blog posts twice a week again! Flickr is still down so it’s putting a serious cramp in my posting schedule lol but I have SO many outfits I want to share!! <3 And make sure to check out my latest Youtube video if you haven’t yet!!!

You guys, I am honestly stumped of what to wear most days this time of year. Portland’s weather is always so all over the place in Spring. It’ll be sunny in the morning and then start pouring a couple of hours later. Then it will be chilly and warm up in an instant. It makes it super difficult to decide wtf to wear! I’ve been living in a rain jacket most of the time but yesterday we finally got a dry day and I was able to wear this. I just wanted to wear something simple. Jeans with a nice top and pair it off with my favorite pair of shoes I could finally wear since it was dry out. When I wanted to wear something a little more comfortable for errands, I just swapped out these shoes for my converse.

This top was a recent thrift find and I just love the neckline! Another great piece to dress up or down and I have been on the look out for great basics like this more than ever. Sometimes it’s nice to just have some basics that are effortless and don’t require too much effort to put together.

Anyways, I am looking so forward to our trip to the desert in just a couple of weeks. I took some time off last week while I was in Reno and have been playing catch up ever since. Another vacation is already needed! Who else is feeling the same way?

What I’m wearing: Top: Vintage/Thrifted (I sell vintage here!), Necklace: Wolf Circus, Coat: Mango, Jeans: Vintage 501 Levi’s (similar here), Shoes: Mari Giudicelli, Bag: Doen (sold out)
