Styling a Floral Dress Three Ways

Having pieces that I can style multiple ways has been more important than ever to me. Times are tough. So rewearing and restyling something is what I want to share more on my blog going forward. Plus I love sharing different ways to style things because one look might inspire you more than another and I love being able to provide options with you! And I feel like floral dresses are the perfect versatile summer piece.

My mood really is what decides how I am going to style something. For instance, the first look is a little mix of casual and edgy. Pairing the black, chunky sandals with the chain detailed bag is a cool balance against the girly dress. This is an outfit I might wear to a casual hangout with friends. If I want the dress to be a little more comfortable and even more casual, I will pair with sneakers! Dresses and sneakers is one of my favorite ways to bring out tomboy style into my looks.

For the last look, this one is a little more girly compared to the other two and ideal for a date night! I actually asked everyone on instagram which look they like best and the heels and baguette bag won! Let me know your favorite!

Ready for Spring in Doen

Is it spring yet?! I’m so ready for warmer weather again just so I can officially wear dresses and sandals again. Leo and I went to the oregon coast last week with friends and I decided to brave the cold a little bit for this dress. I couldn’t wait until warmer weather to show it off lol. I was FREEZING but it was worth it for just a few minutes.

Little dainty dresses like this, especially floral ones are always a go to of mine for warmer weather. The thing I like about dresses like this is because you can wear them with boots, sandals, sneakers, literally whatever you want for whatever mood you’re in. For me, chunky boots is what I like to wear during the beginning of spring when it’s still pretty chilly out.

Also, I am headed to the desert at the end of this week so I have been searching for some spring clothes already. It’s supposed to be in the 70s/80s where I am going so I have been browsing sandals, sunglasses and more mini dresses for the trip! I am so used to wearing puffer jackets and boots here in Portland, it’s going to be interesting to finally wear something else!

ANOTHER THING! My presets/filters will only be available for one more week! I used my desktop presets to edit these images too. If you want to shop them, they’re available here before they’re gone!

Realisation Par (sizing details!)

Have you ever ended up losing something in your closet and then rediscover it and it’s the best feeling ever? This green dress was that for me. For some reason, when I first got it, I didn’t wear it too much. I think I just didn’t think I could “pull it off” or something. WHICH IS BS. The thin straps can be a little intimidating to me because I have always been weary about my shoulders and arms (we’re our own worst critiques aren’t we?) But then when I found this dress again, I fell in love with it again. Dresses like this that can easily be thrown on with sneakers are my favorite. It’s the ideal summer outfit for me. Easy, comfortable but still making it seem like I know what I am doing when I get dressed in the morning.

I also wanted to share a little insight on sizing with Realisation Par. I don’t think there is too much information out there about their sizing so I thought I would help just a little! I am typically a size 6/8, medium in dresses and a 27/28 in jeans. This dress, I got a size medium. It is a little tight in the rib area which can get uncomfortable, especially if you like to eat a big lunch or dinner like me. lol So if you’re in between sizes, I would size up in Realisation Par. Same goes for the leopard skirt, I have it in medium and do have a little bit of a butt and thicker thighs and it’s snug. It’s not a bad fit but I definitely wouldn’t be able to wiggle into a small. I hope that helps a little bit!

I also just uploaded my San Francisco Vlog if you want to check that out! We went to a bunch of really great restaurants and places in SF, and make sure to watch it until the end… lol
