The Perfect Dress for The Holidays!

I’ve had the worst luck lately when it comes to dresses. I just haven’t been really loving anything I’ve seen online until I saw this silky beauty! I first saw this dress a couple months ago when I thought I would be going to LA for a holiday dinner event but then had family plans come up. But I couldn’t stop thinking about this dress! I finally ordered it last week after deciding to plan a holiday outfit blog post and I am SO glad I finally bought it! I know the images here make it look like it’s a gold/yellow color but it’s more of a green color in person. It’s so soft and feels so expensive.

The best thing about this dress is all of the things you can wear it to! It would be great for thanksgiving, if you dress up for that sort of thing (I’m usually in my comfiest outfit so that I can eat my body weights worth of food for the day lol) but it would be so perfect for any sort of holiday party or event you have coming up. OR if you need a NYE dress, this is perfect! Especially since most of us dress up for NYE, short dresses are always SO cold, a maxi is ideal. Then this dress would easily be great for spring as well. Honestly, if this dress needed a spokesperson, I would do that job. Lol I just haven’t been this excited about a dress in awhile and I was so excited to share it with all of you. It really is the perfect holiday dress!

Styling an Oversized Blazer

Oversized blazers have been everywhere lately! They can be a little tricky to style especially with how they can swallow someone’s figure and can be hard to look flattering. They might be a pass for some people but I have actually loved wearing oversized blazers this season. I found this particular one a couple months ago while thrifting and it reminded me of my dad. He would always wear a blazer and slacks to work so it’s kind of a cool piece to have reminding me of him!

If you’re having a hard time making the oversized fit look flattering, you can always add a belt! Just a simple belt around the waist line can give the blazer a more feminine shape and not feel so overwhelming. Another thing I like to do to make it less masculine is obviously pairing it with more feminine pieces. Heels or a cute bootie is a great way to tone down the masculine feel and give it a effortless boss women spin.

How are you styling oversized blazers this year? Are you into the trend or not so much?

Simple Holiday Outfit

I am finally back with a blog post! I have been dealing with a cold for what feels like an entire month and I am finally starting to feel a lot better! When I went to Nashville last month, I got really stressed out to the point that I gave myself a cold from it! Then when I got back, I was SO busy and really had no time to recover. I was slowly starting to feel better until I went to visit family and picked up a cold from my little brother. Needless to say, it’s been a rough couple of weeks in the health department over here. But I went to the doctor and finally have more energy again. SO BLOG, LET’S DO THIS!

These photos were taken by my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago in our apartment and I LOVE how they turned out. You know when you have an idea in you head and when you try to execute it, sometimes it just doesn’t work out? Well it was the opposite in this case! I loved how these photos turned out and it really shows this wrap top so well. The holidays are right around the corner and it’s always good to have a piece that you can rely on for last minute holiday parties and occasions. I am not one to dress up too much so a simple dainty wrap top with a few sparkles is perfect for me.

JuJu, my cat, couldn’t help but get in a few photos as well. He is always wanting to know what’s going on lol

Simple Plaid Coat Look

ALL ABOUT PLAID COATS THIS TIME OF YEAR!

I love how simple plaid coats are to style. They go with everything, they scream fall and they make an outfit look polished and effortless all at the same time. This coat was gifted to me from a recent collaboration with Court & Rowe and their pieces are SO good. This plaid coat has a bit of structure to it that reminds me so much of a blazer. Pairing more feminine pieces like a statement necklace and heeled boots is my favorite way of styling more masculine pieces.

ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS BAG REALLY QUICK! Staud never disappoints when it comes to cool bag designs! This one reminded me so much of fall and October that I felt like it was the perfect piece to pull this fall outfit together. The shape is so unique and looks like a moon just like its name.

What I’m Wearing: Coat: c/o Court & Rowe (I’m wearing a size medium), Tee: RE/DONE, Necklace: Maslo, Jeans: Khaite via Shopbop, Purse: STAUD via Shopbop, Boots: c/o ABLE (use my code TONYA20 for 20% off!) Rings: Mejuri & Wolf Circus

How to Wear Plaid Pants this Fall

Do you ever have those pieces that you “rediscover” when you’re cleaning out your closet? Well that was what happened with me and these plaid pants! For some reason, I kind of just forgot about them but I was so happy that I found them again recently! They remind me so much of the 70s (or maybe a couch from the 70s! lol) which makes me love them so much more!

The other day, I asked on Instagram what kind of pieces you want to know how to style this fall, one of the pieces mentioned was plaid (or printed) pants! So this is one of the ways I would style plaid pants! Pairing any print is SO easy especially when paired with a solid top or tee. I picked this simple white tank to make the print stand out and I love the monochromatic look with the cream colored coat.

Another item I love pairing plaid or printed pants is wearing them with graphic tees! Vintage tees with vintage style pants…there’s nothing better!

Anyways, I hope this is just a simple way to inspire you to try out plaid pants this fall!
