Gold Hoops

When I was in high school, I dated a guy who I thought I was madly in love with. I’m pretty sure we all think this with our first love. But looking back now, I realize it wasn’t the picture perfect “love” I thought it was. Of course we had some really good times together and at the time, he was my best friend. But for some reason, after all of these years, I still remember him telling me he didn’t like earrings on me.  So, young me, in love with this boy and wanting nothing but him to think the world of me, I let my ears close up because he didn’t like them. Now looking back at that, I can’t believe how ridiculous I was to do something because of what a guy said or liked or didn’t like about me. To this day, I continue to second guess and always ask for other’s opinions and approvals. But why?
I know this is kind of a lot for just a simple blog post about earrings but for some reason, every time I put these earrings on I feel reassurance in myself and as though I’m pushing away those doubts.
I’m working on being a stronger version of myself and it’s all starts with baby steps, even if it’s just a simple pair of gold hoops. And I think they look damn good on me!
Also these are clip on earrings because I’m too big of a baby to get them pierced again! lol

The Camel Coat

If you’ve been following my blog from the beginning, you may know how long I have love thrifting and vintage hunting. There’ s just nothing like finding that hidden treasure after digging and searching through dozens of racks. Well this camel coat is probably my most prized vintage find yet. I found this Christian Dior camel coat during last summer while sifting through a local thrift store. The moment I saw it I knew it was a gem! The sleeves were HUGE and the entire thing just took over my entire body lol but I still bought it! I ended up getting it and got it tailored a couple months ago. IT’S MY FAVORITE PIECE IN MY CLOSET! The color is so rich and it keeps me so warm. And I always drool over designer pieces so it’s nice to finally have found something in my price range AND vintage. SCORE.
This entire look is pretty much my uniform these days. Camel coat, tee, levi’s and boots. Done.

I’ve been saving this post and I figured it would be the perfect first post of the year.
This is one of my all time favorite outfits. There’s just something about it that makes me feel so special and beautiful. I love how delicate the floral print is and the wrap fit. It’s so feminine which is usually something I don’t always describe as my style. Every little detail about this dress I love and I know that the designer, Christy Dawn, really thought about every little detail as well. Her dresses are so romantic and timeless. I love the vintage flair they all have while still being so modern and fresh. I could wear this with vintage clogs from the 70s or dress it down with a pair of converse. It’s the perfect piece for any girl, any style.
Everyone needs a dress like this in their wardrobe. Something that really makes them feel special when they have it on. Plus all of their pieces are designed and made in LA. Need I say more??

Anything with tassels is a win in my book.

Patricia Nash has a new collection where you can change out the strap on your bag for different ones! As someone who tries to be a little more smart and sustainable with fashion, this is a great way to switch up your outfit and style easily without having to completely change your outfit. A lot of the straps really give extra character to a bag as well! This one would be great with a floral maxi dress or an off the shoulder top since it has a bit of a bohemian flair to it. I though it would be the perfect camera strap too! It makes it so much fun and a great way to show your style.
Photographers, this is definitely a must have for you too!
Make sure and check out the Patricia Nash “Strappy Collection” now selling at Macy’s!

Skip a Wash With Dove

One of my favorite things ever: dry shampoo. Having long hair can be great but it definitely takes a lot of upkeep and washing! Luckily, there is Dove Refresh+Care Detox & Purify Dry Shampoo that makes it super easy so I partnered with Dove and took part in the Dove Hair #SkipAWash Challenge.
A lot of dry shampoos tend to leave behind that white residue that looks like your hair is turning grey but Dove’s Refresh+Care Detox & Purify Dry Shampoo doesn’t leave any of that behind. Plus it smells SO GOOD.
So the next time you’re in a hurry and not in the mood to wash your hair and go through the entire process, try Dove’s dry shampoo and the Dove Hair #SkipaWash Challenge!
