The Best Place in Portland for Lash Extensions

FullSizeRender Ok, so I know I’ve said before that I’m a tomboy at heart…but I still love being pampered. I think it’s important to spend time on yourself and do what makes you feel beautiful. I had been thinking about getting lash extensions for awhile now but didn’t know where to start or really anything about it. Then I was approached by Lash & Beauty Lab here in Portland about lash extensions and of course I said yes! The atmosphere and decor of Lash & Beauty Lab was soo cute! I’m in love with plants and it was lined with cactus, hanging plants, and monstera…I felt right at home. When it was time to get my lashes done, Cheri, the owner, asked what I was looking for when it comes to lashes. Since I am pretty minimal, I wanted them to look very natural and nothing too dramatic. And they are just that! I feel so much more confident even when I’m not wearing makeup. The best thing too, I can just run out the door and run my errands without really having to worry about putting one makeup since the lashes add a perfect little feminine touch. I think I’m going to be hooked after this!

With all of that being said, I am SO happy with my experience at Lash & Beauty Lab in Portland! I know I may be bias since this is my only experience with lash extensions but I definitely think they have to be the best in Portland! Their reviews are outstanding and I can see why! Make sure and head over there and told them I sent you!!

How to Edge Up your Valentine’s Look

I’ve always considered myself a tomboy. A girly girl has really never been in my vocabulary or my style really. But on occasion, such as Valentine’s Day, I do love to dress up a bit. I like to tone down girly dresses though usually with a lower heel, sometimes even sneakers, and tights. These tights give this sweet, feminine dress a little more edge and a little more my style. I love that just a simple accessory can change an outfit to really morph more into your own personality. I love this sweet low heel too! High heels aren’t really in my wardrobe so this style is the perfect alternative!

For as long as I could remember, I always wanted a dog. Not just a family dog, or a dog that is more attached to someone else, but one that was really my own. I was living in Las Vegas last year with my dad to save money while going to school. And I’m going to be honest, one night my dad had a couple of beers at the casino and I was able to convince him to let me get a dog! The second I got home I was searching through Craigslist and stumbled upon the cutest little pup I’ve ever seen. 1 and a half years later, that pup is my best friend. Blu and I love going on walks together, watching hulu and netflix and snuggling! Since I work from home, it’s SO nice to have her company. It’s hard to imagine what my life was like before her in it.
Valentine’s day doesn’t have to be about a boy or about a girl, even though I have a boyfriend, you can still make it about anyone that’s special to you. And I’m sure for many of us that can mean even our furry best friends!

Make sure and check out my favorites from Urban Outfitters below! They are such a great place to shop for Valentine’s gifts for him or her…and to get your Valentine’s day outfit! They’re always my go-to for so many things!

Who said florals are for spring and summer only? I honestly love wearing them all year round. But a simple and easier way to make them more winter appropriate is to wear darker florals. They go with all of those little black boots that fill your wardrobe and they’re easy to pair with denim or tights!

Wrap tops and dresses have been another staple for my lately. It’s such a great feminine fit that looks so good on all body types. I used to think they wouldn’t work on me because I am pretty flat chested, but I was pleasantly surprised when I finally tried the style out! Wrap tops can easily be dressed up or if you want to give them a more of a tomboy edge, then they also go great with sneakers too!

Took some photos in some of my current favorite pieces from Whimsy & Row. I’ve been really getting into decorated the apartment and making it really cozy and overflowing with plants. It makes it the perfect place to work from home and obviously take photos for the blog as well!
This first look is TOTALLY the “I live in Portland” look. Classic button up, denim, and a chunky beanie…pretty much the Portland uniform and I actually really love it. It’s not typically something I wear often but when I do I realize why so many people go to this type of outfit. Also, beanies are sooo perfect for lazy hair days. I love them for that.
I hope you guys like these photos! I highly recommend you guys checking out Whimsy & Row! They have so many great pieces, not only just clothing but also home decor and bath/beauty products (more on that coming soon!) Support local and small businesses!
