1980s

Ok, so I have to tell you 3 things:
1. I’m pretty sure I wore this outfit at least 4 times last week.
2. These earrings are clip ons because I’m being a baby about getting my ears re-pierced
3. I told my mom the 80s were back and she laughed.
Want to try out the 80s trend for yourself? Here’s a super simple way to do it. Buy some funky, big earrings! Definitely inspired by the 80s these days and trying to subtly infuse it into my style.
What do you guys think??

Morning Routine

When you work from home, it’s so important to create an environment that is inspiring and comfortable. I have filled my little place with lots of plants and different little things that really make it feel like home. This makes me not want to leave! And during these rainy months, that’s essential.
Make sure and check out more details of my morning routine over on the Free People blog, here!

Sunlit Days

_DSC3758_DSC3924_DSC3934_DSC4028_DSC4037_DSC3756 One of the greatest things about blogging, is the people that I get to meet. I recently got to shoot with fellow Portlander, Davis Hilton, and we shot some photos on the St. John’s Bridge. It has been raining NON-STOP in Portland like always but we finally had a dry, sunlit day. It was just the bit of motivation I needed to remember that sunny days are just around the corner.

Go-To Classics

6L0A41236L0A41786L0A41546L0A41806L0A41456L0A4119 We had such a beautiful, sunlit day yesterday in Portland! But now we’re back to our regular scheduled programming….aka the rain. I’ve been really having to adjust again to cooler temperatures and outfits that are still stylish and keep me warm. Having a couple of great coats that you can rotate and style different ways are what really keep me going during these cold months! Peacoats are great staple pieces to have. They can be worn with light denim, dark denim, dresses, skirts, and layered to keep you warm. I love the sailor inspired look they give to an outfit.
On another note, I live for basket bags these days. I think I have 3 now that I wear with basically everything.
Quick post because I gotta get back to my homework!!

Spring Transitions

Going into Spring can be such a hard transition when it comes to outfits. I want to break out my floral dresses but it’s still a bit too cold to wear them. So this time of the year I really just try to pair my spring pieces with denim! I start to break out my sandals more and flowy tops. I also really love this style of top with the tie in the front. They’re also so great with jackets in case it gets too chilly.
Also, I’ve still really been into basket bags. This one I am wearing here is still my favorite one but my collection is growing!
