Stripes on Stripes

This set from Flair the Label just screams summer to me. It’s the perfect set for going to the beach, getting drinks with friends or having dinner outside with your love…all the best summer things. I love how well it actually fit in with the desert scenery too. Typically stripes seem perfect for the coast but it was cool rocking them in the desert as well.
You guys definitely need to check out Flair the Label. They have so many great pieces like this set and more. Also, did you see the tie back, I LOVE IT.

We stumbled upon this beautiful cactus lined fence on our way to check out the Pioneer motel. It was SO beautiful! I think living in the Northwest has given me a slight obsession with cactus because I didn’t see them much growing up. They’re always so interesting and cool to see in the wild! Even though I am a NW girl, the desert has a special place in my heart.

The Most Magical Place on Earth

Ever since I went to Joshua Tree for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I can’t get it out of my head. It’s seriously one of those places you have to go to in order to understand all of the hype behind it. I loved the odd feeling of it as though you weren’t on earth for a bit and the beautiful sunset the night before. It was just so relaxing and everything I had hoped it would be.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have too much time to explore Joshua Tree National Park but we did get to see some highlights of the park including the Jumbo Rocks! It was so much fun exploring and hopping from rock to rock. There were lots of Joshua Trees in Las Vegas but none were like these!
This Madewell floral maxi dress was the perfect dress for the atmosphere. It felt as though I was a character in West World (my boyfriend and I just finished season 1).

And a side note, this dress would be such a great transitional piece into fall as well…plussss it’s on sale. GO GET IT!

Summer Staple: RE/DONE

Re/DONE has been one of those go-to brands for me for a couple of years now. Vintage Levi’s are such a staple piece and RE/DONE knows how to make them fit just the way you want. This pair is the “No Waist” shorts where they took off the belt loops and waist band. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about trying them at first. When you’re so used to one style of something, it can be tough trying something different. But I am so glad I did! They give the shorts a little bit of an edgier look. What do you guys think?

I paired them with classic pieces that I have been seeing some of my favorite french bloggers. Espadrilles have been on my wish list and I am so happy I got them! They’re actually a lot more comfortable than I expected too, which is a huge necessity for me!

I’m so excited to share more photos and look that Dawn and I shot while we were on the little desert trip! Los Angeles was overflowing with beautiful bougainvillea….it was tough not taking photos with all of them!

Back to School with Redbubble

Summer is in full force but that also means that school is just around the corner. Although I graduated recently, I know there are still many of you who are still in school so I wanted to share Redbubble with you and some amazing pieces that have that are perfect for any student. They’re even perfect for me since I work from home! I really call my place my office but I also used to do all of my school work here too! The great thing about Redbubble is that they have so many amazing artists that share their work and you’re able to create items from what they have created! I personally decided on this beautiful leafy print from artist Barbarian.

The Perfect Desert Getaway: Joshua Tree Acres

Joshua Trees was one of those bucket list locations for me…and I feel like it is for most people. I had tried to make plans to go there when I was living in Las Vegas but it just never happened. So when I finally started planning this little desert trip, Joshua Tree was definitely one of the places I knew had to be a stop. I was searching for the perfect little desert getaway since Joshua Tree seems to be known for the coolest little Airbnb’s. Finally, I stumbled upon Joshua Tree Acres and instantly had to stay!

Joshua Tree acres is the cutest little lot in the desert with renovated Airstreams! They’re all decorated with the cutest interiors, decked out with string lights, hammocks and wooden decks. Basically the traveler/adventurers dream.

Everything about the place was pure magic and these are just a few of the photos we took there from when we first arrived. MANY more to come.
