Moorten Botanical Garden’s had been on my list of places I had been dying to go for many years. I don’t remember when or where I first saw a picture of it but I know that I was in love right then and there. It’s so funny seeing photos of things and then experiencing it for yourself. The actual greenhouse was a lot smaller than I had imagined but it definitely did not disappoint. The place was overflowing with lots of prickly cacti and SO hot. It was already around 120 in Palm Springs so it had to be at least 125 inside the greenhouse. We tried to stay and soak in as much as we could before darting outside to try and find some cooler shade.
All in all, this place was just as beautiful and magical as I hoped it wold be. I can’t wait to go back someday.
Just wearing another sandal, dress, and basket bag combo. Once I find an outfit I like, I just stick with it for awhile. And this one was the perfect summer uniform.

#ModernTrail with Timberland

This week already is starting to feel like fall! The rainy clouds are starting to drift in as well as the colored leaves which means it’s time to switch over to some of my fall favorites. Floral dresses are a favorite of mine for summer and I love transitioning them into fall as well. These Timberland lace up boots are absolutely perfect for helping me get into the fall season. They remind me of something I loved when I first started my blog years ago. Something about them drew me to them and they’re going to fit perfectly into my fall wardrobe. I was also surprised by all of the different styles of boots Timberland has for fall! I love their classic 6″ boot but they also have some other great lace up boots like these as well as Chelsea boots….and bags too! This bag is going to be great for lugging my laptop, planner and other work things around.
Something I really love about boots like these is that the more you wear them, the more character they get. They start to get beautiful creases and nicks that really make them your own. Plus they’re going to be perfect for the rainy fall weather. I might be using them to jump in a puddle or two!

Who What Wear Roadtrip!

Last month, I was lucky enough to collaborate with Who What Wear and show them around my city of Portland, OR. This was such an incredible honor and I am still pinching myself to believe it actually happened. I took them to some of my favorite local spots around the city and of course took some outfit shots along the way. All of the outfits pictured above can be shopped on their ShopWhoWhatWear app! The app is so much fun to shop on because you can shop all of your favorite stores in one place. Rather than jumping from site to site, the app makes it easy for instance if you’re searching for “black boots”, you can look for them at once from all of the shops….so easy!
We ended the day with happy hour and a little get together at Clyde Common. My mom drove 3 hours just to make it to the happy hour to help celebrate! All in all, it was such an amazing experience that I won’t ever forget. Thanks so much to the Who What Wear team for making it so great!
