I’m going to be honest, I was not really looking forward to fall during the last few weeks of summer. Sounds pretty crazy right?! I felt like I was the only one not looking forward to the new season but it was mostly because this time of the year is the rainiest time in Portland. But now that fall is in full effect, I am reminded how much I love it. Every single thing about it has been so good already (minus the rain) but I always really love revisiting my fall clothes. Camel coats are one of the pieces that I always go back to this time of the year. They instantly pull any fall outfit together and of course are super warm and cozy! For some reason too, I always gravitate towards neutral tones during fall too. Maybe because the leaves change and everything else turns to browns, mustards and oranges…I think I like to feel like I am a part of it too. Lol Or I just like those colors!
Another thing I realized I have been wearing frequently this fall are plaid pants! Tartan and plaid are so popular right now and for good reason! Plus, they pair so well with camel coats. Double win!

Current Fall Favorites:
Camel Coats
Plaid Pants
Mules
Distressed Denim

There’s nothing like when two amazing brands collaborate together and create magic. Madewell and No. 6 launched a few pieces this week as part of a mini capsule collection. The pieces are all about being able to dress up or down. You can wear them with sneakers for a casual brunch date or pair them with boots or a low heel for a night out. The dress I am wearing here is probably my favorite piece from the collection. I was a little worried that the fit was going to look awkward on me but I was pleasantly surprised. The fit is AMAZING. The color, the print, the length, there are so many things that I love about this dress.
Go check out the Madewell x No. 6 pieces and let me know which ones are your favorite!
Also, my boyfriend has been helping me with photos lately and I can’t thank him enough! I have been trying to focus on learning to editing photos myself so I can have more control of my photos and content. We have been using my camera and my phone a lot for the photos and so far the feedback has been really great! Let me know what you guys think! <3

Five Places to Check Out in Reno, Nevada!

IMG_6864 9475FD53-F6DC-4A59-B114-F7D10C62AB53 If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I spent this last week in Reno, Nevada visiting family. I lived in Las Vegas for almost a year but had never been to Reno until last week. I didn’t really know what to expect so I was thinking it was going to be pretty similar to Vegas but I was pleasantly surprised! There were so many great, local shops that reminded me a lot of Portland. Before going on the trip, I did some research trying to find some local places to check out but couldn’t find much while searching. So I decided to make a little mini guide to share some of the places that I think were worth checking out if you’re ever in Reno!

The Golden Jackal – 660 C S. Virginia St.

This was without a doubt, my favorite place we went to in Reno. Vintage shops are always great to check out but there is something about a cool vintage shop in Nevada. Packed with old boots, denim, and tees…this shop is a must see in Reno. I picked up a cool old casino tee and lots of inspiration from the interior of the shop. Rumor is they are going to be selling online as well so keep an eye out!

Natural Selection – 39 St. Lawrence Ave

am a sucker for any kind of plant shop or nursery so I was so ecstatic when a Reno local told me to check out Natural Selection. The shop was covered head to toe with so many plants…basically heaven. If you’re into taxidermy, this is the place for you! Overall, just a really cool shop to check out in Midtown Reno.

Reno Public House – 33 St. Lawrence Ave.

Right next door to Natural Selection is a great bar, Reno Public House. I absolutely loved the interior and the moody feel of this place. They had great local beers on tap and some delicious specialty drinks. If it wasn’t too cold, we would have loved to sit in the outdoor patio! It was lined with twinkle lights and desert foliage. This was definitely a great place to end the day.

Make sure and check out Midtown Reno and Downtown! Downtown is where the iconic Reno sign is along with some really cool old casinos! If you’re into gambling, Downtown is the place to go. Although we didn’t have time to check out the riverwalk, it’s on my list of places to go next time I am in town.
Midtown was my favorite place in all of Reno. We spent most of the day just walking Virginia street and checking out the local shops. I loved seeing all of the cool old vintage signs too, it really gave a glimpse into old Nevada.
So that’s it! I know it’s a short guide but I spent a lot of time with family over the week which was the best part of the trip. I would love to hear some of your favorite places in Reno! I will be heading there again soon and I always love seeing what new place I can find!

Blending in Down in San Francisco

I don’t feature this Stutterheim raincoat in outfit posts as much as I should because I wear it with so many outfits. Living in Portland, it’s a neccissity to have a god raincoat but finding one that fits your style can be a struggle sometimes. Without a doubt, I highly recommend a Stutterheim one! The quality is amazing and the colors available are on trend and work well into so many different types of styles. It’s one of my favorite pieces in my closet.
My boyfriend in I are visiting family in Reno this week but we decided to take a day trip to San Francisco. It was a four hour drive with traffic, but once we actually got to the city…it was worth it! San Francisco always stuns me, it’s such a unique and intriguing city. The apartments and houses there are my favorite. I could spend all day walking around and exploring the neighborhoods. We were checking out the Marina District when we found this apartment building that matched my jacket perfectly! So of course we had to stop for some outfit photos 😉
These pants are so great for fall and I finally got to take them for a spin while we were in SF. The shape of them is so unique and they definitely make a statement. I dressed them down with a simple tee and sneakers which was ideal for checking out the city!
You can find these pants at Shopbop along with some of my other favorite styles here:

Two Versatile Denim Jackets Perfect for Any Season!

It can be hard to find the perfect denim jacket but once you find them, it’s a great staple piece for almost every season! These two from Urban Outfitters are so good for just that. They go perfectly with Spring and Summer looks and can be transitioned into fall looks as well. I love the color of this camel/toffee colored denim jacket! It’s a little different than your typical denim jacket and I think that’s why I like it so much. Like I said, it goes perfect into fall and part of it I think has to do with the color.
The other jacket has fun patches and is more of a statement piece. Great for a floral dress or just to spruce up a classic pair of denim. I like that both of these jackets are a little different than a typical denim jacket you see.
