This coat might be my favorite plaid coat find yet. It’s the perfect plaid and the best fit, plus it didn’t break the bank! It can be so tough finding coats that you love that aren’t a couple hundred dollars. Topshop really has so many cute coats right now for a variety of styles and outfits. I’ve been sticking to my favorite coats, tees and denim this fall. It’s such an effortless look and makes things easier during the busiest time of the year. Plus, it’s been pretty chilly in Portland, so going out without a coat just isn’t an option!

Thanksgiving, Our Way, with Mezcal Creyente

This year, Leo and I are celebrating Thanksgiving together at our place. We’re obviously both getting older, so it can make it difficult to go home during the holidays due to everyone’s busy schedule! I had a lot of family traditions surrounding Thanksgiving as a kid. We would always make certain homemade dishes and bring them over to my grandparents. We would have a kids table and a grownups table. But some of those traditions are hard to replicate in our modern lives. So that’s the perfect place for new traditions to be made. Leo and I both enjoy a good cocktail made at home so we thought it would be perfect to have Mezcal Creyente part of our Thanksgiving festivities this year! The combination of Mezcal Creyente and a bite into an orange slice is divine. I love the smoky taste of the sal de gusano with it all, it’s truly a unique and timeless taste! It pairs perfectly with a candle lit apartment and some records spinning!

Five Blazers to Try This Season!

Blazer season is in full force and I am SO into it. When it comes to trends, there are certain ones that I really love and I am all on board and others…not as well. But blazers are something that I am really loving this season!
It can be really tough to find the right one though. Some of them tend to make my shoulders look gigantic or the fit is too feminine for my style. So I decided to round out five blazers that I am loving right now and that would be perfect to try! I got this one from Madewell and I love that it kind of also resembles a coat. It’s the ideal piece to throw on with a graphic tee like I did here or to pair with a cute button up. There are just endless ways to style a good blazer!
