If you guys follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you know of my slight obsession with a good bubble bath. These days, I honestly take more baths than showers (one of the perks of working from home!). I get so many questions from you all about where I get my bath tub accessories and what some of my favorite products are for a good bubble bath. So I’m finally going to share some of my essentials for a perfect bath at home!
First off, a bath without bubbles isn’t really a bath at all! Unless of course you have bath bomb or soaks instead. But I love having lots of bubbles to really feel relaxed. When it comes to bubbles, I love the ones that have epsom salt to relieve any sore muscles from sleeping wrong or from a workout. Dr. Teal’s is my go to for this! They all smell so good and make lots of bubbles!

Lighting a candle is a another great way to really relax and set the mood you want for your bath. P.F. Candle Co. is always my favorite (use my discount code MOPTOP15 when you shop on their site to get 15% off your purchase!). They have so many great earthy and woodsy scents that are great for this time of year. And I notice I take more baths when it’s cold just to warm up again!

A cup of coffee or glass of wine is always great for a bath! Whatever you’re into. That’s what I love about taking baths, they’re so customizable! Do what you want! A bath caddy is one of the best parts of a bath too, that way you can set everything on there. This wooden one has been the best! This one is actually a customizable one from Etsy (HERE) but you can find them at so many other places too. I also use it as a little desk when I want to work from the couch or my bed!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and make sure to check out the pieces below to create the perfect bath at home for yourself!

Happy New Years and hello 2018! I hope you all had a great time celebrating and are excited about the upcoming new year and fresh start. I’m really looking forward to what 2018 will bring! There are already a few local trips I have planned but I hope to also travel to some farther locations too.
One thing I want to focus more on this year is my blog. Of course it has been a priority of mine for the last few years but I really want to focus more on posts that I really love and take more time and thought, in order to bring you guys more valuable information and inspiring posts! There are a couple that I have in mind already so I am excited to see what you guys think of them.
So let’s start the new year off with an outfit that has been on repeat for me lately. Portland is such a casual, laid back city that it definitely has had influence on my style. Not many people wander the streets in heels so for me, this outfit is a mix of casual but a little dressed up. Many Parisian influencers have been inspiring me lately, and this outfit reflects that. I love feeling effortless but still put together. And dressing up denim has always been a favorite thing of mine that I will continue into 2018 as well.
This is my second teddy bear coat I have gotten this winter, so I thought I would share a few with you guys in case you have been wanting one too! They’re so warm and still stylish!

Stayed in my dream hotel in Los Angeles. I stayed a night by myself and really loved being by myself in a city I wasn’t familiar with. It was very freeing..

I drank SO much coffee this year. lol It’s what keeps me going! Also spent most of the year in this studio, it kept me inspired throughout the year.

2017 has been an overall pretty great year for me. Despite a few hard times, like most years, it’s been a big year for me when it comes to personal growth and just growing up. I got to travel to some really great places that I had never been including Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, and Reno. My fear of flying held me back a bit but that’s something I really want to work on going forward.

I graduated from college this year! After what seemed like forever, I finally got my Bachelors Degree in Fashion Marketing at the Art Institute in Portland. This was such an amazing feeling and accomplishment. I wanted to give up so many times. I honestly hated going, hated presentations, hated being so out of my comfort zone. But I stuck with it and made some great friends
along the way.
I moved into my first ever one bedroom apartment with someone I love who supports and loves me unconditionally. We love the new place and really feel like we can take the next steps in our life together since having a place like this, we really feel like adults! haha
Living in a studio after awhile just doesn’t cut it. As much as I loved that studio, I was ready to move on to a different space.
I feel so lucky to have found someone who I can be myself around, I can trust and always rely on. He’s the best. Thank you Leo, I doubt you will read this though! haha
We got to see Travis Scott in concert (with a surprise appearance from Drake!), as well as The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, Chance the Rapper, Allah Las, and a couple more I’m sure I forgot…but those were pretty great. I love that we both share an appreciation for music and get to experience those together.
This year, I also got to work with some really amazing brands and companies! This was definitely a year for growth for my blog. Working with Who What Wear was one of the most exciting for me. They are a company I have looked up to for so long, so to be recognized by them was a complete dream come true.
Even though this year had so many amazing moments and unforgettable memories, there were still hardships included.
My grandpa passed away from cancer in October. I was lucky enough to spend some of his last moments with him but it was really tough seeing someone you love go through so much pain. It brought my family closer together though, and really made me realize that family means so much. No matter what happens or where life takes us, family will always be there and have your back.
2017. Another year, another 365 days filled with so many great times that I probably will end up forgetting while other moments will stay with me forever.
But I am so blessed in the end. Thank you guys so much for another great year and for your endless support, for following along on this crazy adventure of mine called life.

Alright, 2018, I am ready for you! Let’s do this.

The Perfect Fall and Winter Outfit!

I meant it when I said it, this is the perfect fall or winter outfit! So easy to put together and looks great on just about anyone! I love a good graphic tee so having a graphic sweater is perfect for the cooler months. Pairing them with denim is my favorite and it works great for winter and fall too. This Bella Freud sweater is one of my purchases during the Shopbop Black Friday sale! I have had my eye on it for so long but was so happy that I finally decided to get it! It’s definitely an investment piece but I am trying to fill my closet with more investment pieces that I know I will always want to wear and cherish. This bucket bag is another one of those investment pieces as well!
This Building Block bag has been on my radar for awhile now and was another piece I decided to get during the Shopbop sale. Sometimes you just have to wait it out for a good sale and it will all be worth it! I know investment pieces are more expensive, but I really think sometimes they are worth putting money aside, saving up and getting something every now and then.

Together all of these pieces make for one of my favorite outfits this year. Do I say that about every outfit?? lol Well this on is just comfy, warm and I still feel very put together.

UPDATE: Shopbop is also currently having a sale going on! Their sale items are an additional 25% off when you use code JOY25! This is such a great time to pick up an investment piece or two!

Two Winter Looks with Express

I am all about staying warm and cozy this time of year. But that doesn’t mean I have to compromise to lounging around in sweatpants and five layers…I still am all about expressing myself through my style. In the mornings, I tend to want to snuggle on the couch with my cup of coffee, catch up on some emails and check social media. There’s nothing like a soft sweater for this! This chenille sweater from Express is SO soft and SO cozy. You might not want to leave the couch once you have this on. It’s the perfect way to get the day started and perfect for wearing throughout the day too!

And here is outfit number two. Perfect for running errands during the day, or for meetings, meeting up with friends or any other last minute things that may come your way. I love the idea of a white coat this time of year too. It’s crisp and pairs perfectly with any color of boots! This one is on super sale right now too and would be great going into Spring next year! The shape of this one is oversized and structured, it’s a good one.
Neutrals were my main inspiration of this outfit (like many of my outfits) and I like pairing different neutral and brown tones together.
