YOU GUYS, I AM FINALLY BACK IN PORTLAND AFTER AN INCREDIBLE TWO WEEKS IN RENO & SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!

I am sorry for the two week hiatus from blogging, but I have so much great content from the trip to share with you all so let’s get it going! We also were able to shoot some VIDEO and I am really looking forward to start editing it and hopefully make vlogging a more regular thing depending on all of your feedback!
Last week, I stayed at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs for three nights and it’s now my favorite hotel. It’s the perfect place to cool down in the heat and relax by the pool with a margarita. Their margaritas are the best I’ve ever had (I ask for extra salt) and I had been looking forward to them ever since I had planned this trip again. Our room was so cool too! It was decorated as though you were staying in a canvas tent and of course had a record player and records that you could buy if you wanted. Every inch of the hotel is inspiring with the murals, palm trees and giant letter board….you could spend all day just exploring the hotel alone.
This dress is a vintage find I got while visiting The Golden Jackal in Reno. The Golden Jackal is always a must see when in Reno and I immediately fell in love with this dress when I saw it. The modern wrap style mixed with the 70s color pallet had me drooling and I was so happy when the dress fit perfectly. And it matched our room at the Ace! So of course we had to snap a couple of photos. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you all!!

Quick Room Update with Mitzi!

I am always looking for quick and easy ways to spruce up my space especially when a change of season comes around. With Summer just around the corner and my Spring cleaning (almost) done, I can finally start thinking of decorating again. My nightstand is one of my favorite places in my apartment to decorate. I like to keep it simple but filled with unique and pretty things since it’s what I first wake up to and fall asleep next to. This new lamp from Mitzi is a complete dream come true! Speckled ceramics have been taking over my kitchen so it’s nice to be able to showcase them more in my room as well! It couldn’t have fit into my room any better! I am in love with it.
The light is perfect and golden too, which makes it great for drinking a cup of tea before bed and really let me unwind after a long day.
In case you’re looking for a few new lighting options to elevate your space, make sure and check out Mitzi! The lamps and lights are all so unique! I would love to know which one you have your eye on! I think my next one might be a great floor lamp for my living room. There are so many great options, it’s going to be hard to decide!
*This post was sponsored by Mitzi but all opinions are my own and I love this bedside lamp!

The desert and Oregon, when two of my favorite things things collide it’s hard not to smile. Leo and I took a day trip to Smith Rock yesterday and I forgot how much I love this place. I had only been once before and it blew my mind even more than the first time. The sun was out this time and the desert colors were glowing. It was impossible not to feel inspired.
The desert just does something special to me. I love the heat, the constant sun, the colors, the smells…and I feel lucky just a short drive away form Portland, I can be surrounded by the desert again. Leo loved it too, mostly because it all reminded him of Westworld. lol
THIS BLOUSE IS THE DREAMIEST, MODERN 70S BOHO PIECE EVER.
Pairing a blue top with denim has been a favorite of mine for the past couple of years and I thought this billowy top would be perfect with my Levi’s. It’s another piece that reminds me of a modern Jane Birkin, which makes me love it even more. Doen always goes above and beyond with little details in all of their clothes to really make them feel special.
Well, I have a week and a half left in Portland until I am headed out to Nevada and California! There’s so much planning left to do but I am counting down the days.

Another White Blouse & Denim

Another white blouse and denim….
Old habits die hard.
There’s just something about a good pair of Levi’s and a beautiful white blouse that makes me feel so effortless and truly me. So I am sorry if these outfits are getting redundant, but too bad! haha I am just being honest and true to myself! I hope though with all of these outfits, I am at least providing inspiration for the countless ways that you can wear a denim and white blouse combo!
Anyways, this blouse in particular is very special to me now mostly because it was another investment piece that I knew I would love the moment I saw it online. The intricate details, the tie back, the lace, everything about it is so beautiful and I love that it really looks like it’s vintage. Doen is without a doubt becoming one of my favorite go-to brands. Since their pieces are pretty pricey, when I finally save up enough to get a piece…it feels even more special and I really treasure it! This basket bag is actually from Doen as well, and was a little more in my price range, but they go together so well! Plus, I couldn’t resist pairing the clogs with this look to go full on 70s, Jane Birkin. She will forever be a muse of mine.
Alrighty folks, I hope you love this outfit as much as I do! My trip to the desert is coming up so fast and I can’t wait to pair more white tops and denim together (and more colors too, I promise). I’ve been working really hard on this trip and I cannot wait to finally go and share it all with you! End of June can’t come soon enough!!

Simple Spring Look with HOBO Bags

Sponsored by Zappos
Spring weather is really finally here in Portland, which means we can finally bring out the sandals, cropped denim, t-shirts, dresses and layer a little less! But that doesn’t mean that we have to tone down on accessories. This bag from HOBO is a great spring and summer bag! The little handle makes it easy to grab when you’re on the go and fits everything you need in it without being too bulky. The inside has a couple of slots that make it easy to take any important cards in case you’re out and about with friends for brunch or date night.
I’ve been drawn to minimal but unique designs and this bag is both of those things! Plus this caramel color is always a weakness of mine.
If you’re looking for a bigger bag that will fit all of your summer things, HOBO has some other great options as well! Since the weather is finally warming up, I like to occasionally go on a walk and work outside at a coffee shop but I have to make sure that everything can fit in a bag!
Here are some of my other favorite larger bag styles from HOBO at Zappos!
