Summer is in full effect and so is the heat! One of the best fabrics this time of year is always linen. It makes everything instantly more effortless and cool and I end up wanted to buy everything I see! This dress was one of those “linen purchases”. The buttons up the front and the slight puff in the shoulders, whipped together in linen really made it a great easy summer dress. The only thing I don’t like about this dress is how short it is…but for that sort of thing I always make sure to put on bike shorts to ensure I won’t have any accidental flashes lol
Unfortunately, I think this one I am wearing is sold out, but there is this romper here that is very similar!
So to make things easier on you, since I love you guys, I decided to round up 10 really great, really cute linen dresses that are ideal for right now!
1. Zara Button Romper (I know it’s not a dress but it’s similar!)
Make sure and finish off the look with some sandals or sneakers!

What do you think of Linen? Do you have a bunch of linen pieces in your closet for summer? I want to try and transition some of my linen pieces for fall too!
What I’m Wearing: Dress: Zara (Sold out I think?) Similar Romper here, Shoes: Mari Giudicelli, Bag: Vintage

Golden Hour Cactus

One thing I loved about Palm Springs, is that practically every block and everywhere you turn is something beautiful. For instance, Dawn and I were driving around trying to find a place to shoot this last outfit. Then we just happened to drive by this enormous cactus that was just in front of a neighborhood. I was so in awe when I saw the photos and the incredible golden light that shined through the cactus. Maybe it’s because I love plants so much, but it was so cool to drive around Palm Springs to see what I would find around the next corner.
Faithfull the brand has been an essential for my summer wardrobe for a couple of years now. Their pieces are so fun, the perfect mix of minimal and feminine which is best for summer I think. Pink used to be one of my least favorite colors when I was younger (I was a tomboy…still am lol) but I have really grown to love it! It’s such a fun color to wear and it looks good on so many people! This shade, mixed with the bright bits in the flowers makes it a great go-to summer dress. You can never go wrong with florals this time of year right?

If you follow all of the online fashion sites that cover the trends, this post I’m sure will be of no surprise to you. The one accessory that is taking over and having some ladies put their basket bags on the shelf are beaded bags! Yep. Beaded bags are popping up all over instagram and the closets of fellow fashion lovers.
I’m usually 50/50 when it comes to trends. As a fashion blogger, I feel like I have to be relevant and wear things that are somewhat trendy while putting a spin on them that fits my personal style. But when it comes to beaded bags, this is one trend I am all for!
When I was browsing Etsy, I found a really cute, neutral colored beaded bag that fits my usual color palette so well but I also decided to go a bit outside of my normal style comfort zone and get this bright Susan Alexandra beaded bag
This beaded bag reminds me of the beaded animals I would make in middle school! Haha Which I am all for. It’s just a fun and unique piece that makes me smile.

So what do you guys think? Are you into the beaded bag trend? If you are, make sure and check out some of my favorites below and let me know in the comments what you think of the trend!

Try saying that 5 times fast. lol

I’m pretty sure this is the only time I have ever posted myself in a bikini on my blog! I was a little hesitant at first but Dawn (my friend and photographer) convinced me to just go for it. Plus this bathing suit is too cute not to share!
Reformation is one of those sites that I honestly check every other day to see what new styles they have and this swimsuit instantly caught my eye. The top was sold out though so I had to wait a few weeks until I could finally buy the complete set! The color was just really unique and I love this shade of green (fun fact: green is actually my favorite color!)
So I finally got this swimsuit in the mail. Initially, I had bought both the top and the bottom in the smock material but when I tried on the bottoms…it was bad. They made the crotch area look so strange! hahah I’m just being honest with you guys…this is probably TMI. I was so bummed though because I loved the swimsuit so much! Luckily, the bottoms were available in another material, same color, so I ended up getting those and I even tried a small size in the smocked version just in case. Long story short, the smocked top and normal bottoms ended up working great together and I love this bikini now! It ended up matching the Ace hotel perfectly too and was essential for beating the heat in Palm Springs.
I thought I would link a few swimsuits too, just in case you’ve been searching for a new one!

Five Airbnb’s to stay at in Joshua Tree

dawnphotography-313 dawnphotography-329

Joshua Tree is noted for it’s dreamy, instagram-able Airbnb’s. The desert town is the perfect place to get away for the weekend to spend with friends or a loved one to escape the city and just unplug for a bit. I’ve been to Joshua Tree twice now and I’m already counting the days until I can go back. It’s one of the most mesmerizing towns I’ve ever been, especially in the actual Joshua Tree National park. It feels like you’re on another planet…and it’s awesome.

With all of that being said, I thought I would do a round up of five really cool Airbnb’s to check out and stay at in Joshua Tree! I’ve done my fair share of scrounging through the listings so I want to save you all the time and help you out. This is in no way sponsored! I’ve had the pleasure of staying at a couple of these places already and some are still on my bucket list.
Alright, here they are:
This is the listing that’s featured in this post! And it was a DREAM. The minimalists ideal spot. Perfectly decorated and away from civilization. The only thing I would keep in mind is there is no AC at this listing so just make sure to be aware and/or visit in the cooler months. Other than that, this place is a gem! And I want that velvet couch so bad. haha

This is probably one of the most well known Airbnb’s in Joshua Tree and for good reason. It’s incredible! I have yet to be able to stay there (it gets booked quickly!) but if you ever get a chance….make sure to take it!
Joshua Tree Acres is my FAVORITE Airbnb in all of Joshua Tree! I had the best experience there and still think of it to this day. The rooms are inside of Airsteams and they have an adorable club house to unwind and cook some food. Not to mention there is also a hot tub and now a new solar pool! I’m hoping I will get to visit again in the near future. Check out my photos form last year there!
Another adorable Airbnb! I think my favorite thing about this one has to be the Hammock and the GIANT joshua tree right outside. I haven’t been to this one yet, so if you go…let me know how it is!
Last but not least! I have yet to go to this one too but by the images…I’m sure it’s wonderful. Any place with a Smeg fridge has me sold! haha
So there it is! Five Airbnb’s to stay at in Joshua Tree! Which one would you want to stay at? Let me know in the comments! And be sure to check out my Youtube video this Sunday that will have a behind the scenes of the desert trip from this year!
