Dressing Up a Graphic Tee

I want to start sharing more outfits on here than usual. Outfits that I might not necessarily share on Instagram but more exclusive to my blog.

This is just a simple go to look for me if I am running around town but still want to look put together. Graphic Tees are a staple for me and have been ever since I was in middle school lol I love how versatile there are and also COMFY AF. The graphic on this one is super cool too, I think it’s a vintage poster of some sort?

Anyways, maybe less words and more photos? We will see what happens. And if you’re reading this, thank you for still checking out my blog <3

I love those pieces that can easily be worn from season to season. Blazers are definitely the perfect piece to wear from Winter into Spring. Another easy versatile item to dress up with heels or dress down with a pair of sneakers.
To make them cooler and lighter for spring, I like wearing them with casual tees and sandals or slip ons. For this look, I wanted to dress up the simple white tee so I wore one of my nicer slip on mules. But I think this look would look great with a pair of sneakers also to give that real casual, laid back and effortless look. OR to really dress it up, I think a pair of strappy heels would look SOO GOOD too.

Are you guys sick of seeing this basket bag yet?! Haha I’ve been wearing it with pretty much everything ever since I got it two years ago. It’s starting to show some wear but I love how it looks with so many different outfits. And it is the perfect accessory for a vacation in California.

Alrightyyyy I am going to from here on out make a serious effort to put out blog posts twice a week again! Flickr is still down so it’s putting a serious cramp in my posting schedule lol but I have SO many outfits I want to share!! <3 And make sure to check out my latest Youtube video if you haven’t yet!!!

The Conscious Edit from Farfetch

In the last couple of years, I’ve been more and more aware of the fashion industry and a lot of the awful impacts it can have on the world and environment. It gets really tough sometimes because fashion and style are literally my job and I can easily feel influenced or pressured by the industry to constantly be buying new things, wearing the latest pieces and continuously coming up with the latest looks. And while I still try to keep things fresh, there are ways to do so without having such a bad impact on the environment and shop smarter.

First, I want to make a disclaimer though because things can be taken so seriously on the internet. I AM NOT PERFECT. I do shop on occasion at fast fashion shops and from brands that probably don’t have the environment in mind. But it’s something I try to be more aware of.

Ok now that that is out of the way, I am so happy to share with you Farfetch’s new Conscious edit on their site! A super easy way to discover brands that are sustainable! These brands choose different approaches to creating their pieces such as using recycled or deadstock fabrics (which are vintage fabrics that are left over from other seasons or brands), using more environmentally friendly products and fabrics. I really recommend checking them out! It’s a great way to shop and feel better about the environment while doing it.

My boyfriend Leo and I took these photos while in Joshua Tree last week! They turned out so great! It was such a nice time to get away for a bit and spend time together. I think we ended up liking Palm Springs and Joshua Tree the most. When we were in LA, we realized how fast paced it is and I think we were a bit overwhelmed at times! It was fun to be back again and visit but we’re happy to be home again 🙂

Lots of California content is on it’s away as well as a Youtube video!!! I’ve been editing like crazy!!

The Little Floral Dress

Can you guess where I got this dress?

If you said vintage, you got it right! I found this floral dress while thrifting a couple of months ago and have been waiting for the weather to heat up so I could wear it. I’m pretty sure I spent $7 on this dress?! And to me it looks like something Reformation would sell. SCORE!

One of the easiest way to dress up a thrift or vintage find is paring them with investment pieces. I bought this Staud bag for myself as a birthday gift a couple of years ago and I still continue to wear it so much. It’s one of those classic pieces that will stay in style for many seasons which is what I try to look for when investing in more expensive pieces. Wearing those pieces with thrift finds instantly elevates them!  Making a $7 dress easily look like a $150 find from a boutique brand.

Well this is a short blog post because I need to clean the apartment and outfit plan for the desert trip next week! We leave in just a couple of days and I am getting SOO PUMPED. Lots and lots of photos and content to come 😉

How to Wear an Oversized Blazer

When it comes to describing my personal style, I wouldn’t say it’s trendy but I do like trying out new trends and styling them ways that align with my own style. A few trends I have been loving lately include bike shorts, strappy sandals, dad sneakers and oversized blazers! This blazer was one I found while thrifting a few weeks back. I almost didn’t get it because I wan’t sure if I could “pull it off”. How many times have you said that about something as well? It’s something I want to start saying less and just try out more styles! It’s kind of like food, how will we know if we like something if we don’t try it? Starting off with a vintage or thrifted piece is a great way to try out a new style or trend without investing too much into it.

If you’re curious about the oversized blazer trend but are stumped on how to style it, I would go simple just like this! I paired with with a simple tee and jeans because they’re both something I am already comfortable with. They are a great way to ease into a trend without feeling too out there! I also love paring a feminine shoe with oversized blazers because it tones down the menswear feel a bit.

Basket bags will always be a favorite of mine! This look just goes to show that they really go with everything!

What do you guys think of the oversized blazer trend? How would you style them?
