Realisation Par (sizing details!)

Have you ever ended up losing something in your closet and then rediscover it and it’s the best feeling ever? This green dress was that for me. For some reason, when I first got it, I didn’t wear it too much. I think I just didn’t think I could “pull it off” or something. WHICH IS BS. The thin straps can be a little intimidating to me because I have always been weary about my shoulders and arms (we’re our own worst critiques aren’t we?) But then when I found this dress again, I fell in love with it again. Dresses like this that can easily be thrown on with sneakers are my favorite. It’s the ideal summer outfit for me. Easy, comfortable but still making it seem like I know what I am doing when I get dressed in the morning.

I also wanted to share a little insight on sizing with Realisation Par. I don’t think there is too much information out there about their sizing so I thought I would help just a little! I am typically a size 6/8, medium in dresses and a 27/28 in jeans. This dress, I got a size medium. It is a little tight in the rib area which can get uncomfortable, especially if you like to eat a big lunch or dinner like me. lol So if you’re in between sizes, I would size up in Realisation Par. Same goes for the leopard skirt, I have it in medium and do have a little bit of a butt and thicker thighs and it’s snug. It’s not a bad fit but I definitely wouldn’t be able to wiggle into a small. I hope that helps a little bit!

I also just uploaded my San Francisco Vlog if you want to check that out! We went to a bunch of really great restaurants and places in SF, and make sure to watch it until the end… lol

Minimal Outfit in Outer Sunset

More photos and outfits from the San Francisco trip!! Honestly the weather was all over the place which made me wear a wide variety of outfits. This day, we we’re hanging out around Outer Sunset and it was actually really nice out! I’ve heard that it is usually pretty foggy there (which we experienced another day) but it was pretty warm. This minimal outfit was great for the breeze and the warmth there.

Reformation will always be a go to place for me with shopping. They’re pieces can get pretty pricey so I can only treat myself now and then but they still don’t fail to inspire me and drool over their pieces. Green is my favorite color and this top instantly caught my eye. It’s another one of those pieces that can go with either shorts or pants depending on the weather. It’s a good one 😉

Chinatown, San Francisco

WOW. What a week, what a trip to SF I had.

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably already know that my friend Esperanza (@theurbandarling) and I went to San Francisco this past week and while we were there, my car got broken into. The thief ended up stealing my friend’s laptop and THEN cashed a check for himself from the checks inside. We then had to drive from San Francisco to Portland without a window, into the fires that are going on as well. Needless to say, it’s been a long tough week.

But despite those difficulties, we really did have such a fun time in San Francisco. We walked so much, saw so many things and of course took way too many photos haha And now I am finally able to sit and catch up, edit them and share the content! So let’s start with one of our first stops of the trip…Chinatown in San Francisco.

There’s obviously a Chinatown in Portland, but I had never seen a Chinatown like the one is San Francisco. IT WAS SO COOL. The first night there, we walked around as the sun was going down to see all of the lights. It reminded me a bit of Blade Runner with all of the neon lights and cool signs. Honestly, exploring this area of San Francisco was one of my favorite things we did on the trip.

Now on to my outfit. This outfit was styled with the walking we had planned in mind. I wanted to be comfortable but still cute of course! This tee is one of the SOFTEST, COMFIEST tees that I own. Plus paired with sneakers, this outfit really nailed it in the comfort category.

Alright well I have some emails to catch up on from the week so that’s it for now! LOTS of SF content coming up!

Casual Everyday Outfit

I feel like I’ve been slacking lately on my blog. To be honest, I was feeling uninspired for a bit. Just not really loving anything I was creating, doubting myself and just really getting into a negative mindset which really hinders any sort of creativity. For the past year or so, I feel as though I have been focusing so much on trying to create the “perfect” outfit, or the “perfect” photo or feed. While doing this, I would always feel like what I was creating wasn’t good enough. I’ve been comparing my style and success too much to others on instagram and the blogging world which in return made me not really be grateful for the personal things I have accomplished through the years with my platform and pursuing what I love. Basically, I was able to finally realize all of this and take a step back. I am posting more iphone photos again and just focusing on why I start this whole thing all together, which is just to share outfits and hopefully inspire you. So with all of that being said, today’s blog post is just a good, simple jeans a tee outfit. MY FOREVER GO TO. A casual everyday outfit.

I’ve always loved a good graphic tee, which I am starting to think came from my tomboy childhood and always being in a sports jersey. I love how undeniably comfortable they always are, and they’re another one of those pieces that can be styled countless ways. The weather has been all over the place in Portland so a look like this is great for the unpredictability. Sandals to keep cool, but jeans so I don’t get too cold. Pretty simple, just the way I like it.

Off the Shoulder Summer Dress

I’ve always thought that off the shoulder styles weren’t for me. We’re all pretty harsh and critical of ourselves so I think it was just one of those styles I never thought I could “pull off”. When The Outnet reached out to collaborate with me, I was so excited about this dress. It was time to finally try an off the shoulder piece. And guess what… I LOVE IT! The style is so simplistic but dramatic at the same time! The dramatic sleeve is such a cool way to offset the no shoulder too.

This dress would be great for summer date nights or any special occasion, besides a wedding probably. You don’t want to wear white obviously 😉 you might get kicked out for that…lol

Has anyone else been noticing the hair scarves making a comeback too?! One of my favorite gals to follow on Instagram, Maria Bernad (@maria_bernad), is making a strong case for them! The vintage look of them is something I can’t help but love too. I feel like I should be in Italy in the 60s, driving down the coast in a little car with cat eye sunglasses with I wear my hair like this.

Anyways, thank you Outnet for sending this look so that I could share it with all of you! And to share more about them! Their site is seriously so great. They have a bunch of great designer brands at a discounted price!! There really is something special about owning a designer piece but let’s be honest, they can be way out of budget (especially if you’re paying off your student loans like me!). The Outnet has brands like Chloe, Acne Studios, Stella McCartney, all at discounted prices since fashion moves so quickly! The best way to invest in some incredible brands and pieces.

SIDE NOTE: THESE SHOES ARE ACTUALLY VERY COMFORTABLE AND THEY’RE CUTE! I’ve been having the worst luck with shoes that are cute and also comfortable. I recently got a pair that are so cute but they hurt my feet like hell. THESE ARE ACTUALLY COMFY!! Just make sure you get your correct size!
