My Morning with Peet’s Organic Coffee

drinking organic coffee

It doesn’t matter if I am at home, on vacation, or visiting family…coffee is a part of my routine. It’s what I look forward to first thing in the morning and something I enjoy as part of waking up. After years of trying different coffees, and partially after moving to Portland, I’ve realized what kind of coffee I enjoy most. Organic items are EVERYWHERE now but did you realize your coffee can be organic as well? I feel better drinking Organic coffee – for my body and the environment — and nothing’s better than that! It means that no chemicals are used when growing the beans, which also means better air quality! This also means that the cup you drink doesn’t have any harmful chemicals as well. It’s just all around better!

For me, I prefer pour over at home! It’s  kind of fun to go through the process and make the coffee yourself from start to finish. Peet’s Organic Coffee is SO nice to make and wake up to. I can never resist the bold coffee aroma right after opening the bag and when I start pouring hot water over the coffee grounds. And there’s nothing quite like that first sip after adding just the right amount of creamer to my cup.

Since coffee is such a huge part of my everyday routine, I really make the most of it. Starting with Peet’s Organic Coffee, freshly brewing at home and savoring my cup until the last sip.

Be sure to try Peet’s Organic Coffee for yourself! Click here to see where it’s available near you.

How to Wear Plaid Pants this Fall

Do you ever have those pieces that you “rediscover” when you’re cleaning out your closet? Well that was what happened with me and these plaid pants! For some reason, I kind of just forgot about them but I was so happy that I found them again recently! They remind me so much of the 70s (or maybe a couch from the 70s! lol) which makes me love them so much more!

The other day, I asked on Instagram what kind of pieces you want to know how to style this fall, one of the pieces mentioned was plaid (or printed) pants! So this is one of the ways I would style plaid pants! Pairing any print is SO easy especially when paired with a solid top or tee. I picked this simple white tank to make the print stand out and I love the monochromatic look with the cream colored coat.

Another item I love pairing plaid or printed pants is wearing them with graphic tees! Vintage tees with vintage style pants…there’s nothing better!

Anyways, I hope this is just a simple way to inspire you to try out plaid pants this fall!

What I’m Wearing: Pants: Sea NYC via Shopbop, Tank: BP, Coat: Oak + Fort, Boots: By Far, Bag: Jacquemus, Jewelry: Wolf Circus

Checkered Coat- Fall Uniform

I hope it’s not too soon to be serving up FULL FALL OUTFITS but it was 59 degrees in Portland today and rainy so here we are! I am ready to share fall looks! My fall inspo and mantra this year is just to take it easy. Basics are my best friends and mixing and matching pieces is all I really want to do. Even a checkered or plaid coat to me feels like a basic or as staple piece. There’s just nothing like a good pair of jeans and a checkered coat to really complete your fall uniform. What’s been your current fall uniform?

Another thing I really have on my radar more this year are chunky, bulky boots! I really love the tomboy/masculine feel they can give a look. These ones are just teetering on the edge of being a chunky boot so they would be great if you’re curious about trying out the trend for yourself.

What I’m Wearing: Coat: The Frankie Shop (sold out!) Similar here and here, Tee: RE/DONE, Necklace: Missoma London x Lucy Williams, Jeans: Acne Studios, Bag: Demellier London, Boots: Miista

Let’s Talk About CBD

CBD. Where do I start? Growing up with both sets of parents very against “weed”, I could only imagine how they could feel about CBD. I think since CBD is correlated to weed, it automatically gets a bad rep. But I think it’s so important to be open minded. It’s natural and in my opinion and a better solution for some over the counter medications.

First off, it won’t “get you high” lol

If you’re not familiar with CBD it’s a type of compound found in cannabis (marijuana). Unlike, the more well-known cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD doesn’t produce a high.

This is one of the side effects so many people automatically assume happens when you use CBD. Especially when using a topical, like shown in the images, it really is just a great form of pain relief! I actually really love this one from Populum because it has a cooling effect to it as well. It almost reminds me of icy hot but it has the effects of CBD as well. CBD topicals help with join pain, muscle pain, and inflammation. Which I have found so great since I work form home and am on my computer a lot! I love using it as a quick pain relief on my back, shoulders and/or neck.

I’ve also used CBD products to help with my anxiety. Anxiety has been something I have struggled with for a few years now and I noticed when I use CBD to help, I notice a difference in my “fight or flight” response. I don’t get as worked up or get as stuck on a thought, I really notice it helps me relax a little and let things go.

Anyways, I just wanted to write a quick blog post about Populum because I am liking their products so far! AND THE PACKAGING IS SO CUTE. That gets me every time.

Do you use CBD products? What do you think of them?
