Missoma – The Twisted Collection

I am SO excited about this collaboration and to share it with you all! Missoma is a brand I have loved for a couple of years now. I first purchased a necklace from them a couple years ago and haven’t taken it off much since (see in outfit here and here and many more!) I was beyond ecstatic to have the opportunity to share their new collection, The Twisted Collection!! Inspired by the idea that opposites attract and the movement of rope and the bonds between chains. The perfect pieces to have in your collection to embody strength and unity.

I really love this idea on a personal level as well. The idea that we usually have a side of ourselves that we keep hidden or might be too shy/scared to share with others. Growing up, I plaid sports, read Harry Potter and played the trombone in band. All of these things are a part of who I am and shaped me into who I am now but often times I don’t share this side of me. I’m now remembering to embrace all sides of myself because that’s what makes me as a whole! And I love being able to wear pieces that remind me of that.

One of the things I really love about Missoma, is how easy their pieces can be layered! They look beautiful on their own but you can layer up multiple pieces together to create an even bolder look. The necklace I have from a couple of years ago even looks great with the twisted collection.

Ready for Spring in Doen

Is it spring yet?! I’m so ready for warmer weather again just so I can officially wear dresses and sandals again. Leo and I went to the oregon coast last week with friends and I decided to brave the cold a little bit for this dress. I couldn’t wait until warmer weather to show it off lol. I was FREEZING but it was worth it for just a few minutes.

Little dainty dresses like this, especially floral ones are always a go to of mine for warmer weather. The thing I like about dresses like this is because you can wear them with boots, sandals, sneakers, literally whatever you want for whatever mood you’re in. For me, chunky boots is what I like to wear during the beginning of spring when it’s still pretty chilly out.

Also, I am headed to the desert at the end of this week so I have been searching for some spring clothes already. It’s supposed to be in the 70s/80s where I am going so I have been browsing sandals, sunglasses and more mini dresses for the trip! I am so used to wearing puffer jackets and boots here in Portland, it’s going to be interesting to finally wear something else!

ANOTHER THING! My presets/filters will only be available for one more week! I used my desktop presets to edit these images too. If you want to shop them, they’re available here before they’re gone!

What I’m wearing: Dress: Doen via Net-a-porter, Boots: c/o Blundstone

Vintage Coat!

I found this vintage coat at one of my favorite thrift stores over the summer and was so excited to finally wear it once it cooled down. For some reason, I kind of just forgot about it but recently re-discovered it and felt like it was time to finally show it on the blog too! It reminds me so much of something I would see from Nanushka (a fraction of the price though!) and I just love the color and the modern/western details of it. Pairing it with my ankle cowboy boots just made the most since and I wanted to pair it with minimal pieces since it’s such a statement piece.

Ok now it’s time to talk about this bag! I have been drooling over this bag ever since I first saw it all over instagram months ago. Marc Jacobs always catches my eye but there was something about this bag that I absolutely love! It’s so comfy to carry around too! haha and reminds me of my down comforter at home lol…perfect for if I ever need a mid day nap!

How I Edit My Photos! (THE MOPTOP PRESETS ARE HERE!)

HIIIII I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS POST AND TO FINALLY SHARE THE MOPTOP PRESETS/FILTERS WITH YOU! I get so many questions about how I edit my photos so I am so happy I can finally share what I use! For these images, I used my desktop presets (specifically the 2nd one!) to edit these! We created edits that would fit a variety of settings, moods and light! YOU GUYS, I CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO USE AND SHARE THESE!

In the meantime, I wanted to share this outfit with you since I was finally able to get outfits done! It had been raining SO much the month of January in Portland, I was starting to get cabin fever. It makes it way more difficult to get content done in the rain of course and I get so unmotivated to come up with any sort of outfit besides my sweatpants, puffers and overrsized tees lol

This outfit is another version of my “fall/winter uniform”. It might remind you a little bit of this outfit here but I just wanted to figure out a similar way I could style this coat using different pieces. Which look do you like better?

ANYWAYS MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY NEW PRESETS/FILTERS! If you decided to share any on instagram, make sure to use my hashtag #themoptoppresets And if you’ve already bought them, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT! <3 I hope you love them!

Matching Set + Pieces I Have my eye on for spring!

We have had the gloomiest weather over here in Portland which has me already thinking about Spring and warmer, drier days! The weather is definitely getting to me and has been making it so hard to blog regularly! But I do have some fun things in mind coming up but in the meantime, here is a casual everyday look! (we also moved into a new place, so here is a sneak peek in these pics!)

Sets are such great pieces to have in your closet for a couple of reasons. One, it can work for so many different seasons. You can pair it with boots for winter or heels/sandals for spring. I love how it looked with sneakers for a more casual, effortless look. Plus I have been living in sneakers lately so it just felt like second nature. The other thing I love about this set, is you can wear each piece on their own! These pants are going to be great with white or graphic tees and sandals once the weather warms up. And it’s SUPER soft.

Ok, now let’s talk about spring. I already have it on my mind especially after seeing a few people take some warmer getaways. I am really dreaming of a vacation or trip somewhere warm. Staud currently has some really cute bags out that have been catching my eye! I just imagine wearing fun dresses and sandals paired with this bag in particular for an easy, everyday spring look!

Strappy sandals are on my radar once again! LOQ is always my go to when it comes to beautiful, minimal sandals. I have a pair from a couple years ago but they have some really nice ones for spring again. I just feel like they go with so many outfits. They do take some time to break in but are so worth it!

Ok and last but not least, who else is thinking about swim suits already? I can never decide if I prefer a one piece or a bikini…I think both options are good! Anyways, Shopbop always has such a great selection from so many brands I love so if you’re thinking about one now, definitely check there!
