I am really excited to share my feature on the Farfetch fashion feed with you all! I shared some insight on how I like to style Birkenstocks, a shoe I have been familiar with since I was a little girl and would wear my mom’s pair!

It sounds pretty crazy, wearing knits/sweaters in the summer right? But honestly, Portland for some reason has been pretty cool and not feeling much like summer at all! So I decided to take advantage of it and share an outfit that is perfect for cooler, summer nights! Maybe for a date night on the patio or if you’re able to go out (while practicing social distancing of course!) this might be the ideal look for just that! Pairing sweaters and knits with strappy heels or sandals is a way to make it more summer appropriate as well. You could also pair it with your favorite summer dress or skirt. That’s honestly what I love about sweaters, they’re versatile and can be worn any season to an extent!

This cardigan is from Rouje and honestly, they’ve been a brand I’ve adored for a couple of years now. The brand was created by french muse Jeanne Damas and she has been a HUGE inspiration for me. I was so excited to try out a few of their pieces and this cardigan caught my eye. Yellow is one of my favorite colors and it’s fun to wear this time of year!

What I’m Wearing: Cardigan: c/o Rouje, Jeans: Vintage 501 Levi’s (shop Levi’s here), Shoes: Loq (Shop more from Loq here!), Bag: Doen (shop basket bags here) Heart Ring: Wolf Circus

I’m sure a lot of us are spending a lot more time at home lately, which is why I was so excited to partner up on showcasing items that bring joy to your home via The Etsy Edit! Being inside so much can feel a bit tiresome so I think it’s so important to keep your space feeling put together, fresh and unique to you.

Refreshing your space doesn’t always mean you have to buy entire new furniture pieces or spend a lot of money, it could simply mean moving things around or adding a few pieces here and there to change things up. One of my favorite things to do when it comes to interior decorating is picking pieces that can be used for multiple functions and fit in different rooms/spaces.

For instance, in the living room images, the ceramic piece is actually a fruit bowl! I used it for a bit for my fruit in the kitchen but then moved it onto the media console and added some dried eucalyptus. Pieces that can be used that can be interchangeable is a great way to get your money’s worth with interiors.

Creating a peaceful place to be surrounded by has been so important to me the past few months. Etsy has been a go to for me when it comes to vintage or handmade pieces to curate my home. I’ve used the site since 2011!! It’s also great to be able to support small businesses and creatives during this difficult time as well. Make sure and check out my Etsy favorites page, and shop all of my picks from this post on The Etsy Edit!

It’s starting to heat up a bit! Which means a lot of our winter and fall clothes are put away. But there’s one thing I will be bringing into my summer outfits and that’s blazers! I’ve been seeing more outfits pairing blazers with bralettes and I am loving it! This jacquemus outfit here is one of my favorites and a huge inspiration for this outfit.

It’s a great way to make masculine blazers look more feminine and also more weather appropriate for warm summer nights. This look would also pair great with a pair of strappy heels or sandals but I thought Birkenstocks would be a good simple and comfortable shoe for this look.

ALSO I AM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY START BLOGGING AGAIN! I haven’t posted a blog since March when everything basically went into lock down. I finally bought a remote for my iphone camera so that I can take more outfit photos at home myself. I can’t wait to share on here again!

What I’m Wearing: Blazer: Vintage, Bralette: Skims, Trousers: The Frankie Shop via Farfetch, Shoes: Birkenstock, Necklace: AUrate

90s/2000s Inspired Two Piece Set!

Pin this image on Pinterest
Pin this image on Pinterest

I hope you’re all staying safe out there. The world around us has changed so much since the last time I posted on here and took these photos. These were a set my dad took of me when we visited Los Angeles just two weeks ago. Things have turned upside down and our normal everyday lives have changed like none of us have ever seen before. I hope you’ve all been practicing social distancing and staying home if you’re able to. Before all of this, I originally had planned on visiting my dad down in Arizona for two weeks but since everything with COVID-19 happening, I am still here waiting to return back to Portland. It’s been difficult to decide to return home because I was worried everything would be closing on my drive back home, including hotels. I didn’t want to get stranded so my stay here has been prolonged.

I’m sure at this point, you’ve read, heard and talked about the virus more than you could imagine. It’s been on all of our minds I’m sure. So I hope this blog post can provide just a couple minutes of normalcy and take your mind off of everything for just a bit.

When I first saw this set on the & Other Stories, it reminded me to much of the 90s/2000s. Baggy, flared pants with a more fitted tie back top. It reminded me so much of some of the pieces back then and I couldn’t wait to style it myself. This outfit was perfect for the early spring LA weather. Cool and breezy fabric but the long sleeves and pant still kept me warm enough in the shade. Plus styled with sandals or flip flops, this outfit is SO comfortable. I wanted to dress it up a bit and escalate the look so I paired it with my Staud Moon bag and Gucci sunglasses! But you could easily dress the look down more or up depending on the occasion.

The best part about two piece sets like this, they’re perfect for wearing at home too!
