I’m a big believer in wearing exactly what you want, despite trends. But they can be a fun way to explore your personal style so I thought I would share a few of my favorite trends to try this fall! If you’re on the fence about a certain tend or uncertain if it will fit your personal style, try thrifting the trend first. This is a great way to try it out without really investing in anything. Anyways, let’s get into it!
3 Trends to try this fall:
- Cottagecore/Folk/70s Revival – This outfit is definitely inspired by this trend. I’ve been seeing so many homemade pieces, knits, crochet, lace, so many pieces that feel like someone made them! This reminds me so much of what was going on in the 70s. Rather than just throwing away clothes or donating them, people would often mend the pieces themselves or add patches to worn areas. I love seeing this sort of thing come back because it’s so much better for the environment.
- Cowboy Boots – I’m sure you saw this one coming! The good news is, if you already were into this trend for summer then it will be so easy to transition this one into fall. One of my favorite fall looks I’ve seen with cowboy boots is pairing them with a dress and an oversized blazer. This is a super easy summer to fall outfit!
- Tailored Menswear – More blazers, trousers, and vests! Think looks like this! This is always one of my favorite trends but at this point, I wouldn’t even call it a trend. Feminine twists on mens fashion is always one of my go to looks (see this look here!) and has been popular for many years now. Pinstriped pants are on my list this fall. I’ve even thrifted a few pairs that I’m looking forward to styling!
